We absolutely love our new home! A new construction project can be a daunting undertaking, but we were in great hands with Derek James Homes. They are extremely professional, knowledgeable, and supportive. They make you feel that you and your home are their number one priority. They are a very hands-on company that takes the time to know their clients and understand their needs and wants. They respected us and our budget, offering solutions and options to ensure our satisfaction, both aesthetically and financially. Derek James Homes does stunning work, focusing on quality and customer service, remaining down to earth, budget conscious, and always approachable. We are so very pleased with our home and the experience with DJH.

They have done everything I have asked. They are attentive and listened to my wants and needs. What more can I ask for? I had almost a complete remodel of my home done. Everything except two bathrooms. Please consider them for any build or remodel. Thank you for the work. I will be using you again should I move or want the two bathrooms done.

We used Derek James for our complete home remodel last summer. We wanted an older home because of the character, and then we wanted to make ours, so reno work was always part of our game plan. We ended up replacing EVERYTHING - all plumbing, electrical, AC & duct work, sheet rock, flooring, cabinetry, counter tops, etc - our house was down to studs. You name it, it was replaced. We also took out a wall that previously separated the formal and informal living rooms. It was a completely new house at the end of the project. These guys are incredible in every respect. They had contacts everywhere for selections, we didn't go over on our budget, and the remodel was completed SO quickly. Work started May 7, 2019 and we moved in August 22, 2019 - 3.5 months for a complete gut?! What?!? My mind is blown and my heart is so full. I will be (and have been) recommending this company to anyone & everyone! Before & after photos attached.

Derek James Homes built our new house after Hurricane Harvey. We found them to be exceptionally professional and knowledgeable. This is a company full of honest, genuinely nice people who want to give their client a quality product. We were kept very involved throughout the process and any concerns were always fully addressed.

After Hurricane Harvey flooded our home, we hired Derek/James Homes to do the remediation, repairs and remodeling. Derek/James staff and crew maintained outstanding professionalism from start to finish. All their subcontractors were respectful and trustworthy as well. We were impressed with DJ Homes knowledge and skill of their craft and the superb quality of work maintained during the project. Another important consideration was that DJ Homes stayed within the budget in our contract. We are very happy to be back in our beautifully remodeled home.

Derek's experience with remodeling was helpful and supportive in my decisions for final design. His crews were thorough, respectful and professional and I had no qualms about them being in my home during my absence. They were always willing to re-visit when I had concerns and ultimately made sure that I was happy with their work.

We were very happy with our decision of hiring Derek James Homes. Our project was completed on time as promised. We were always kept informed and our questions concerns were addressed right away. Any problems we had right after the completion of the project was corrected quickly. We will definitely use them again for future projects.

Very professional, quality builder who understood our priorities and worked to incorporate them into the build and budget. Had an independent home builder inspect during the process who commented that it was a very quality build. They communicated timing and next steps throughout the process and helped identify ways (including bringing own recommendations) on ways to reduce budget.

Derek James Homes was fantastic. Workers were always there when they said they were going to be, and if something did happen to come up, there was always early communication with us to keep us informed. Derek also creatively worked with us to meet our design goals and stay below our budget.

Derek James Homes updated two bathrooms and removed our living room wood paneling. The house looks great and I love my new shower. Derek was easy to work with and very attentive to our requests. He checked on the house daily to check the work and make sure our house was secure. He made sure we were satisfied with the work product. We highly recommend Derek James Homes for any home projects.
