We worked with Denver Design Build for our home addition. They were amazing to work with from start to finish. We loved working with their team on the design process and together we came up with plans and a design that met our needs, our style and our budget. We stayed in our house throughout the build. They were courteous, were always helpful in answering our questions and the best part was that they were on schedule!! We would recommend them to anyone and would use them again.

Denver Design Build (DDB) built us a new home in Denver. The challenge of designing and building a new home and diligently managing the process / budget was made relatively easy with Denver Design Build. It was a very positive experience from initial contact and discussions with co-owner Jeff Gates, working plans and budget with Head of Residential Construction Josh Gubser, day to day details of construction and budget decisions with Project Manager Justin Luna, and addressing minor warranty issues with Spasko Popducev. Everyone we worked with (from demolition through design / build to warranty) at DDB was very professional, knowledgeable, creative and communicative. DDB made it a fun experience too! Start to finish we had a great experience with Denver Design Build. From our first meeting with Josh & Tyler, to planning our addition via drawings with Carlie, to picking our finishes and decorations early on with Erika, to seeing it all come together with the hard work and expertise of Justin and Joe, we enjoyed our home remodeling process. Such a rewarding and worthwhile experience to make our dreams come true! DDB delivered on all their promises in a professional, smooth and honest manner, which meant no extra hassle or stress to us. We absolutely love the finished product and couldn’t be happier in our new old home! While we had a couple delays to deal with unforeseen issues, DDB gave us great recommendations and always had our best interests and safely in mind. They made up time where they could and kept as on schedule as possible, which is rare in construction. We have already recommended them to friends and will continue to do so. Thank you DDB!!

Overall, we are very pleased with the work DDB did on our home. There were some bumps, setbacks, and miscommunications along the way, as well as some change in personnel, which was frustrating at times, but if we were to do it all again, we would still choose DDB. The quality of work, attention to detail, and willingness to listen to our input was superb! The staff that we worked with, as a whole, were great! We love our new home!

Before we built our house we heard from many that it was incredibly stressful and would test any relationship, and while I wouldn’t say there weren’t any issues (we were constructing a house from the ground up!) —I would say that more often than not we really enjoyed the process and we love our new home! Justin Luna and Josh Gubser at Denver Design Build were great to work with—they paid attention to detail and helped us achieve a fantastic modern, energy efficient home with the perfect blend of professionalism and fun. I would highly recommend DDB for your next project.

Our remodel started on 11/1/16 and was completed mostly on time 3/1/17. With virtually no constructive criticism to offer, we are astonished with the result. The thing most obvious when working with DDB is their absolute passion for excellence. On numerous occasions, and with numerous staff, there were opportunities to for them to take short cuts, or to simply “do only what we asked”. Over and again, our team came back with ideas, revisions – both large and small to make our project exceed far beyond our dreams and expectations. They were from day one until the last constantly asking themselves what they could do better. Our original house was built in 1902, and while we wanted a major reorg, facelift and functional redesign, it was also important for us to keep the overall feel of the house (re: not too modern). We also wanted something one of a kind and unique to fit this awesome neighborhood (re: duplexes are no longer cool people). DDB build stayed true to this course, and managed our need for a contemporary, clean feel without being to over the top. This all started with our project leader Josh G. My wife and I went into this project as enthusiastic as can be with a bucket of ideas, a very specific and unchangeable budget, and a demand for extremely high-quality materials and craftsmanship. Josh took this (god bless him), and sculpted our shreds of ideas into a basic working theory for DDB’s lead architect Carly to mold into a cohesive set of plans. While we could spend the next 2000 words talking about her skillset, patience, attention to detail, sense of style, and commitment, she is simply an astounding person in and outside of the draft room. Our home would not be half of what it is today without Carly. The planning and budget stage was nearly painless. A few minor ups and downs and tough conversations on both sides, as to be expected, but DDB was always professional, upfront, and committed to our satisfaction and vision. Little did we know, this was the theme that would last throughout the entire project. We’ve learned a great deal about trust, managing expectations and working as a team with DDB. All that can be said about their handling of the normal day to day issues expected to come up in a project this large, is nothing but absolute professionalism, compassion and focus on doing the right thing by us. As enormously stressful as this process could have been, 99.9% of the time it was an extremely pleasurable experience. This was in large part due to our Project Manager Justin Luna. Justin is a man who we grew to respect so quickly, not only for his staggeringly proficient carpentry skills and attention to detail, but also who he is as a person. Justin is one of the most gentle, thoughtful, caring and genuine people we've come to know. For 5 months, we spent time nearly every day together (or at the least emailed/talked), and the entire house project aside, it was just nice to be around him. You could see in Justin's eyes, every single time he walked our jobsite, that he was looking at our house and the work being done, as if it was his own home. He cared deeply for things to be done right, and for our expectations to be exceeded at every step. As with Carly and Josh, we regularly think of Justin fondly. Our house would not be the home that it is without him. Justin is a serious asset to DDB, and you’d be lucky to work with him on your project. As far as the sub’s, 99% of them were perfect. Literally, only 1 was unworthy, and they addressed it immediately. In my book, that’s a phenomenal feat all on its own, and shows that DDB cares about those relationships as much as they do their clients. To date, we’ve had no significant workmanship issues, and don’t expect this to change. The fit, finish, and material is top notch, and we’ve never felt like a single shortcut was taken. There were several very customized design elements in our plan, which required a huge degree of precision and skill to execute. These elements were executed perfectly, and the entire team including former Lead Carpenter Matt deserves so much credit. We could go on with further details, but hopefully this review comes as a huge vote of confidence in hiring DDB for your project. I’d also add that from all appearances, it seems like DDB’s ownership has given the power and encouragement to their managers do what’s necessary to take care of the client. Trust is so underrated these days, and this autonomy is so important to run a successful company. They are as good as it gets. From the initial consultation to the final wrap up, everyone at DDB has been very professional, timely, and diligent. On our initial consultation, Josh stayed for over an hour at our house to talk with us, listening to our ideas, and even made rough measurements so that he could provide sketches to us later that day. The other firms we invited were nowhere near as thoughtful in the beginning. We wanted to go with a design build firm to help ensure that the designs were cost conscious and feasible. Remodels are always tricky because you never really know what you're going to get until you start opening up walls, and there are always complications. Nonetheless, Tyler went above and beyond to make sure that the project went as smoothly as it could, ensuring that we were accommodated for while living through half of the interior remodel as best as possible (including not having heat during the winter due to work on relocating our boiler), and also making sure that any issues were resolved extremely quickly. The project finished right on budget even with our 6 or so change orders along the way. We're very happy with DDB in the end and have recommended them to others.

We're thrilled with the end product and communication throughout the process. Josh, Justin, and Carlie were there at every turn to help walk us through the design, timeline, scope, cost, etc. I've already committed to working with DDB on another project and would highly recommend to anyone else.

Professional and knowledgable group that is always looking out for you. Working with Carlie was great. Our project manager, Tyler made the process smooth and provided excellent customer service throughout. Even though we lived in a construction zone for a few months, we felt like we were being taken care of. There were only a few short delays and issues, and all were handled professionally and courteously. Even with the delays, our project was completed well short of the amount of time we expected it to take. DDB gave us a great experience and we felt like they really cared about our project from the start. Highly recommended and would hire them again.

Building a house in this crazy hot market is tough! With DDB, it went about as well as I could imagine it possibly could. They always wanted us to be happy and have the house we wanted. We have a house that is the way we wanted it (and we knew what we wanted) with the best quality of build we have ever had. Scott, our day to day building Superintendent was always fair and there for us.

We worked with Denver Design Build to add on a master bedroom, bathroom, closet and laundry room in our Park Hill home. DDB repeatedly exceeded our expectations; they were extremely knowledgeable, timely, up front and honest. When we encountered issues (which were rare) during the project, they were addressed promptly and satisfactorily. We finished before the scheduled completion date and under budget. We can't say enough how much of a pleasure it was to work with Tyler, Josh, and Carlie. We highly recommend.

Great design and execution on a large kitchen remodel. Josh, Carly and Justin were very professional, accommodating and excellent to work with. My wife and I are very happy clients. Highly recommend!
