Cutler Construction Services Inc (CCSI/Josh) is a highly professional organization which has high attention to detail & customer satisfaction. Our project was in the middle of Covid supply chain issues. Josh anticipated the upcoming needs of the project & worked diligently to procure the items to attempt to stay on the project timeline. The delays we experienced were with manufacturers, not the construction process. As soon as the delayed items were received at our house they were immediately addressed. Josh has a good working relationship with the (in our case, County of Orange) inspectors, and his knowledge of the various construction codes allowed us to proceed through the project with a 100% pass rate. Josh's subcontractors were punctual, professional & performed exemplary quality work. Josh followed up post completion to review our satisfaction with the work.

Josh's extensive knowledge and expertise sets the bar high for other contractors. It's the reason why he was the first person I called when I redid my kitchen. I had always heard great things about his work from others and how he does everything with precision and care as if it were his own home. After interviewing several contractors for our kitchen/house remodel, we instantly knew when we met Josh that Cutler Construction Services, Inc. was the right choice for our project. His creative design ideas, attention to detail, honesty and integrity are what moved us forward and we couldn't be happier with the end result. We also added extra work to the project scope along the way, which Josh and his team proficiently completed. During the course of construction, there weren’t any challenges that couldn’t be met. The most intricate was the installation of a popup downdraft vent behind our stove that retracts into our peninsula countertop. Due to the small space in which Josh and his team had to work, there was very little room to put in the large curved ducting inside the cabinet to vent outside. With Josh's expertise and persistence, he strategically accomplished this task with efficiency and skill. This further solidified our trust in him and his team of highly capable professionals to meet all of our project goals and expectations. From the demo to the flooring, to the cabinets (Manuel’s cabinet craftsmanship was extraordinary) and countertops, to the electricians, plumbers, and painters, all were competent, trustworthy, and masters of their trade. Noe and John, in particular, were efficient and knowledgeable in all the tasks they performed. Their strong work ethic should not go unmentioned. Norma, Josh's office manager, was helpful and kind. She offered some design tips that assisted with our decor decisions and was always available for any questions that we may have had during the process. All in all, we had a great experience with Cutler Construction Services, Inc. and are so glad that we have found our contractor for life!

Josh was careful to schedule the work needed to accommodate my schedule and needs. He provided guidance and recommendations for service providers which helped with the selection of materials. The project was completed within budget and the flooring, fireplace, and paint look beautiful and have transformed the room with an updated look. We are so happy with the kitchen remodel project we did with Cutler Construction. Josh immediately impressed us with his attention to detail. There were many times during our project where it was clear that Josh is really committed to doing things the right way, rather than rushing through things to call them done. We also really appreciated Josh’s advice during the design / planning phase. He had a number of great ideas and suggestions to make the kitchen space more usable. The quality of their cabinets and the workmanship is superb. Installation was great and they nailed details like a flush installation of a Wolf induction cooktop. They made custom floating wood shelves and mounted them on counter-to-ceiling marble tiled walls which look amazing. Josh was proactive in coordinating things that we wanted to purchase, like cabinet drawer pulls and the pendant lights. After installation, the team at Cutler construction reached out to make sure we were happy and that we had not run into any issues. At one point we had a minor electrical issue and he had his electrician at the house the same day to fix the problem - really incredible! We considered two other contractors for our project and all three were competitive on price. Where Cutler truly stands out is in their integrity and quality of work. We’re already planning another project with Josh and would highly recommend the entire team at Cutler Construction.

I am very happy I hired Cutler Construction Services. They are a very professional and outstanding company to work with during remodel. I hired to re-due main bathroom, flooring and painting throughout the entire home, and other small touchups when discovered. The shower looks incredible and they delivered everything I was envisioning!!! I can’t thank them enough!!! Josh, Ricky and team approached our project like it was their own. We began in November 2017, they completed a full renovation of our entire home in 5 months (5 bathrooms, kitchen, foundation work, all new surfaces, full redesign of master suite, exterior paint). That included permitting from the city and all (Josh will be honest with you and tell you there are no guarantees when it comes to that part of the timing). Their team took pride in their work, were up front with cost (our project did cost more than we originally projected, but i think that's likely common when you get into these projects), and most importantly paid attention to details. They worked very well with my wife and I, showed up on time, did what they committed to do, and delivered excellent quality work that we have enjoyed already for several months. Most importantly Josh and team didn't disappear when their work was complete. They have been very trustworthy in returning to fix minor touch ups to the work since the project completed. We highly recommend them and will work with them again on a future project.

We've used Cutler Construction for several projects from a complete tear-down and rebuild of a custom detached garage, to complete bathroom and kitchen renovations. Josh, Ricky and his team are detail oriented, conscientious, problem solvers, and the work they did turned out incredibly beautiful! I'd highly recommend using Cutler Construction for any level project.

Approximate cost: $37.000 Description of Work Cutler Construction remodeled our three bathrooms. They did a full remodel of two of them, installing new tiled showers with new fixtures and frameless shower doors (the master bath shower, which replaced an old shower-tub combination, has a lot of new tile), new tile floors, custom vanities, quartz vanity countertops, toilets, LED lighting, exhaust fans, medicine cabinets, framed beveled mirrors, baseboards as well as new sinks and shower and sink fixtures. In the third bathroom they installed new floor tile, quartz countertop, new toilet, mirror, medicine cabinet, lighting, and baseboards, and all the bathrooms had drywall repair and were painted. These kinds of remodels are always disruptive, stressful, and have some surprises, but I doubt that we could have had a better experience than we had with Cutler Construction. Josh and his crews did an excellent job. During the bid process, Josh was very patient with our many questions and concerns, and he made a number of excellent suggestions. Cutler’s bid was not the lowest one we received, but it wasn’t the highest one either. One of the things we most liked about using Cutler is that Josh gives a line item estimates for jobs, so customers know exactly what they’re paying for each item (e.g., $X to install so many square feet of tile, $Y to install a new toilet, $Z to install a new medicine cabinet, etc). Other contractors wanted to give us a single overall price for the job, but we were concerned about whether that would cover the entire remodel, or if they would come back to us for more money (“sorry, didn’t see that we’re going to have to do X, and it’s going to cost Y”). Another aspect we liked is that, while Cutler is a small company, Josh has an office manager, Ricky, who was reachable almost all the time to answer questions and coordinate things via phone and email. Ricky gave us a schedule of work for the first several weeks (through demolition and tiling) and for the rest of the job we knew in the afternoon what would be happening the next day. With other companies (unless it’s a large one), you may not be able to reach the contractor when you need to talk to him; during the bid process, we had that experience with one of the other contractors we considered. Josh did the two major bathrooms first, leaving us the third one, and then did the third one after the others were complete enough for us to use. Josh came by regularly to check on the work, and he was quite meticulous about details and always in a cheerful mood and patient with our questions; at important points, he was here every day to make sure things were going well. He has regular crews for various aspects of the job, e.g. demolition and tile work. Rene and Miguel did all the tile work; Miguel especially was outstanding in laying out the tile patterns. Cutler uses subs for custom vanities, quartz countertops, plumbing, electrical, and painting, and they were all excellent. The crews were here nearly every day, and during the initial weeks came on several Saturdays—which we liked—in addition to Monday through Friday. The workers arrived on time, worked carefully without close supervision, and cleaned up at the end of the day. In short, we were very pleased with our experience with Cutler Construction, and we’ve recommended the company to several other people.

Cutler Construction has completed several major construction projects in our home over the past 4 years. Our most recent venture was remodeling our master bathroom. The completed project was an amazing transformation. Josh Cutler is always extremely helpful in our decision making process and has great recommendations for tile, fixtures, lighting, and all within our budget. The workers are very courteous, keep area and construction path into the house as clean as possible. The work was completed in amount of time as expected. The previous year we hired Cutler Construction to install new flooring in the entire downstairs of the house, put in new molding and doors, open wall adjoining kitchen and family room, move laundry room plumbing and paint. The house has been transformed, but now we have to complete the stairs and second story. We will definitely be hiring Cutler Construction to complete the job, as soon as finances allow the project to commence.

We needed to replace the warped wood siding on our two story house. Although the Cutler Construction bid was not the cheapest, he was the most honest and knowledgeable about the problems we would probably face, which included hidden damage and roof issues. He recommended quality products and gave us a detailed bid that just made sense. All change orders were clearly documented so there were no misunderstandings. The work included permitting, composite siding, molding, preliminary house wrap, hidden damage repair, roof repair, repairing a backyard pergola and painting. He knew the issues with HOAs and kept me informed as the work proceeded. All his crew were professional, friendly and kept the work area clean and safe. The craftsmanship was excellent and once the job started it was completed without any delays. He visited the job site daily to assure his standards were met. I was thoroughly impressed with the entire effort and the final job was outstanding…worth every penny I spent. It looked like a new house when he was finished. Lot of complements from the neighbors. I have recommended him to neighbors who have been just as pleased as we were.

We hired Cutler construction after getting 3 bids from highly rated contractors. Josh gave us a detailed quote, which was one of the deciding factors for us. In addition, he included a custom vanity and granite counters for no more than what others wanted for stock cabinets. Ricky Monter, in the Cutler offices, was in regular contact with us. We knew each week who was coming to our home and what work they were doing. If we had any questions or concerns they were addressed immediately. We had workers in our home almost every workday which sped the project along. Each sub really knew what they were doing. The cabinets and custom mirrors are beautiful. The tile work was done with the utmost precision. Electric, plumbing , paint - all great. In the end they completed the job early and with the utmost care and quality. I would highly recommend Cutler construction to anyone looking to do a remodel.

Our home is a 70's hillside multi-level house with the upper floors housing the entry, entry powder room, kitchen, dining room, loft, living room and as would be expected, numerous stairs. We had the pleasure of hiring Cutler Construction Services to provide a much-needed extensive remodel of these areas. Dated finished, appliances, and cabinetry needed replacing and we wanted our home to reflect our design aesthetic rather than a small refresh. As a design professional, I also wanted more time to allow specialty products to be explored and acquired. Our project consisted of both code required permitted work and non-permitted cosmetic work. To hasten the permitting process the project was separated into multiple phases. Josh Cutler and his team of sub-contractors provided excellent service and coordination between the phases. The fact that we had acquired some materials and fixtures normally covered under a construction contract was not an issue for this team. They treated the project as if it were their own home. The design details that we had desired became the opportunity for Cutler Construction Services to shine. Rather than being an Owner and a Contractor,, we became constant collaborators in the design and construction process. Josh provided many of the creative solutions that brought our ideas to reality. We remained in the home during construction and the team took great care to seal off our occupied space from the construction areas. As the bedroom and bath areas are now the next areas of construction, we would not hesitate to bring Josh Cutler and his team back to work on this area. I believe they are proud of the work they did on our home and would be the only ones who would exercise the care to preserve what they have done and see our home completely finished. Remodel of Master Bathroom. Construction consisted of demolition of existing four piece master bathroom with bath tub. Bath was redesigned with a larger walk-in shower. Custom cabinetry, granite counter tops. All electrical and plumbing was brought up to building code specifications. This is the second bathroom we have used Cutler Construction to remodel. Josh is most helpful with the planning and pointing out some very useful items we incorporated in the design. He is very detail orientated and held his subcontractors accountable for timely and high quality work. All of his subs were prompt, neat, and very friendly. My daughter has used Cutler Construction to do some smaller upgrades to their home, and they were also very pleased with the results

Over the past three years I have had the pleasure to work with Cutler Construction Services on many residential projects throughout Orange County. As an architect, it has been extremely valuable to me to have a go-to contractor to recommend to clients. The owner, Josh Cutler, is an extremely organized, reliable, and experienced general contractor who consistently goes the extra mile to make sure all of his projects are completed on time and to the satisfaction of the clients. Josh has been a great person to work with and his can do attitude and willingness to collaborate is unique in this industry. Cutler Construction Services have also completed a couple small projects at my home. They have been the most reliable residential contractor I have ever worked with. Cutler Construction completed a complete interior remodel of our Cowan Heights, California home in 2013. Throughout the project Cutler Construction provided exceptional customer service and completed the project on time and on budget. We were very pleased with the quality work done by Cutler Construction during a recent renovation of our kitchen and two bathrooms. Josh Cutler completed our renovation ahead of schedule (yes – ahead of schedule!) and within budget. He was particularly skilled at coordinating with all vendors to make sure that products were ordered and procured as anticipated and that the project moved ahead without delays. We had moved out of the house and were staying at a neighboring hotel so time was of the essence given the daily hotel bills. Most importantly, Josh competently also handled the local permitting process in the same manner so that no delays were incurred. Josh was a fountain of ideas and information and had all the right contacts and knowledge to make the renovation project come together. We were very sensitive about the mess that contractors make and about who could access our house. Josh made sure that everything was picked-up at the end of each day and did a big cleanup and touchup at the end of the project. He used a lot of dust curtains to control the spreading of dust as best as possible and carefully supervised access to our house. We could not be more pleased with the top quality of the actual work and if you want a contractor to complete your project in a competent and professional manner we highly recommend Cutler Construction. Josh even bought us a large bottle of gin to celebrate our new kitchen and bathrooms when we moved back home!

He had to rebuild a pergola in the back patio. We had wood rot. He did a very nice job and redesigned the structure so that the rot would not happen again. He was very professional and his work was excellent, done in a timely manner and for the quoted price. 6 months before he replaced out warped shutters and they look very good today. Wendy Smith

Cutler construction renovated three bathrooms for us, two on the second floor. That included tile flooring (with special materials to avoid cracking), custom vanities, granite counter tops, lighting, exhaust fans, and mirrors, as well as painting. They replaced several ceiling fans, all of our smoke detectors, and added CO detectors. Their work was professional and high grade: no bs, no missed deadlines, no cheating on quality, just total honesty and great craftsmanship. We are extremely pleased and will use Cutler construction in future projects.
