We hired Sam to complete some renovations on the home we purchased. Sam was the original builder of the home and intimately acquainted with the plans and architectural style. He is passionate about his work and strives for quality and perfection which we greatly appreciate. The estimates were accurate to the final costs, and the project was completed ON TIME which is a rare occurrence for contractors. He and his wife/assistant made it really simple for us to manage the project from afar with minimal involvement. We lived two hours away during the renovations and the Verchers were in constant communication with us. His sub's were professional and people we would hire directly If necessary. Sam is trustworthy, witty, passionate, a man of integrity and a true craftsman. We would definitely use team Vercher again as well as recommend them to others.

Planning, Financing, Construction, and Post-Construction are the four phases in construction of a new home. Sam Vercher can help you handle three of those four phases and provide important input for the fourth. Planning is by far the most important step in the process because potentially costly issues can be corrected at this phase at minimal cost. An experienced contractor, such as Sam Vercher, can often recommend minor changes that can save substantial dollars in construction costs and suggest better locations for many of the required utility items that most of us never think about. Do you really want that air conditioner compressor located outside the Master bedroom window? Financing is next in line. Custom homes are often built using interim construction loans. The entity financing your construction loan will require a budget and a full description of the materials to be used in order to estimate the value of the finished project. Sam Vercher will provide detailed budget based on the Final set of construction plans. The construction phase is next. Sam Vercher personally supervises all aspects of the construction and approves each key step before moving on to the next step. At key points during this phase, you will be selecting exterior materials, windows, doors, floor materials, counter tops, plumbing fixtures. paint colors, lighting fixtures, trim, and the list goes on. Sam Vercher will notify you when it is time to make these selections and recommend vendors that he Sam knows will provide the best service and value. The project is NOT over when the last nail is driven and the last drop of paint dries. As with any project, there are some issues that do not come to light during the Final construction walk through. Sam Vercher is your single contract on any issues with your new home - even if it is a warranty item on an appliance and not an actual construction issue. If we were doing this project all over - would we call Sam Vercher? Yes, but Sam Vercher did such a fine job on the details of our home, that we are NOT likely to need another contractor - ever.

My husband met Sam at the barber shop. Sam was talking about home construction as he got his hair cut. My husband was impressed. He came home and told me he thought we may have found the general contractor we were looking for to build our home. After talking extensively to Sam, meeting his foreman, checking his references, and walking through some of his builds, we decided to go with Sam. His cost was a little more than we had planned for, but we were hopeful that the extra money would be worth the value received. We were not disappointed. The entire experience for us was a pleasure rather than a worry. Sam had contractors working on site every week day from the start of the project to its completion. No time was lost. All the contractors he used were skilled, courteous and pleasant. They all did great work. Sam understood our vision of a farmhouse in the country, and he worked with us to make that vision a reality. Sam is a skilled carpenter in his own right. He personally built our solid oak bar and joined it with black walnut pegs. He hand-hewed the mantel over our fireplace with an ax. He proved to be honest, knowledgeable, professional, and a joy to work with. We love our house that Sam built and receive many compliments on our home.

Sam built our house 10 years ago. We were very pleased with the whole process. Sam is easy to work with and very knowledgeable about every aspect of building a home, be it carpentry, plumbing, lighting, A/C, flooring, or paint. Every sub contractor that works for him will review their plans with Sam and he will make any changes needed. He will listen to your ideas and advise you appropriately. He is trustworthy and will make building a home a pleasant experience. We added to our home a few years ago and I would not have considered getting anyone except Sam.

October 2015 began our journey with Sam Vercher and his building skills. I had requested some referrals to check him out. He gave me a full page of referrals and I called every one of them on the list, and not one person had anything negative to say about Sam and his building abilities (qualities). They all said he was an honest man, and his integrity was great and very knowledgeable. Most said if they had to say something other than he was a great builder, when they had gotten their 3 different bids, Sam was the highest bid, but was so worth it in the end. His houses are quality built! While our house was in the framing stage, the framing foreman told me that our house will be standing here 100 years from now. He and his superintendent are in to details! All of the subs were good, honest crews. Our job superintendent Wayne Summers was tuned into the smallest of details and was always on top of everything. His wife Janie, stayed on top of paying all the subs and bills efficiently. She does a great job. During the planning stage of several meetings, Sam sits down with you, listens to your wants, expectations, discusses them with you, then in a short time he will give you his bid and then you can make your decision. People invariably will change (upgrade) some of their "wants" along the way and Sam will try his best to keep them in budget. As I said earlier, Sam will talk to you about your job, quality of products and stay within "your" budget you give him. Sam and his superintendent made our house building experience a very pleasant and smooth experience. We can't say enough good about Sam Vercher! Sam is a craftsman, an artisan and will build you an excellent home. I recommend him in a heartbeat! Sam is also a furniture maker. he knows woods. He builds quality furniture that you can enjoy now and pass down to your family when the time comes.
