12/5/2023 We hired Darko to remodel our kitchen and family room, the total spending is over $100k but as Darko described it as "a small project"! Starting in mid September it's now on the 8th week, new cabinets and flooring are installed, waiting on countertop, painting, electrical, and a few remaining details, so getting close but not done yet. We'll update with details when all done. 12/29/2023 It's now the 11th week, going for the 12th week, the project is still going! Electrical work remains, ceiling light housing not installed showing just holes, electrical wires are hanging out of ceiling. No kitchen yet. Garbage disposal was leaking under sink, I had someone else come in to fix it because we found it out on the 22nd, 3 days before Christmas and they did not have anyone available till the day after Christmas. The opening between cabinets for the 36" range is too small, the range could not slide in. One of them tried to hammer the cabinet on one side to make the space bigger, but the range and the quartz countertops on both sides were too "snaggy", freely sliding was not achievable, we now on waiting for Darko to return from vacation, we were told it'd be 1/4/2024. We'll update after 2024 arrives. Happy New Year!

I've used Darko and the crew from Core for 3 different renovations (Once per year over 3 years) Darko has uplifted many surfaces in my house. All floors replaced, walls removed, ripped out and reconfigured kitchen pantry , added doors on bathrooms, added can lights, replaced an undermount kitchen sink with current granite in place and demolished and rebuilt a fireplace etc. Darko is the owner and checks in on his jobs personally. At this point, he has become like family. Darko's crew is also top notch, everyone is friendly and trustworthy in your home. I will be calling him next summer for another. Haha.

We were so fortunate to have found Darko Borovnica and Core Construction through a friend. Darko and his crew completed a major kitchen renovation project for us on time and on budget. I marvel everyday at how incredibly beautiful and functional our kitchen is. Darko took the time to understand what we wanted which included the possibility of removing a main wall so we could have an open concept kitchen-dining area in our 1960's home. We were so lucky that after consulting with an engineer, the wall was removable. This allowed us to have a very large island with rangetop and ceiling mounted hood. We had to replace the flooring in our living room as well as the dining room and kitchen and Darko guided us through the trade-offs of different materials given our budget. We couldn't be happier with the result. And we are so grateful because we are able to cook and enjoy our kitchen every single day!

We cannot say enough how much we love the final outcome of our Full kitchen, bathroom and outdoor living remodel. From the moment we met Darko Borovnica, to the planning phase, contracting/budgeting, demolition, construction, detail work and the final completion, every point in this process was easy and effortless. Darko truly listens and brings your vision to life in the design layout. The team of experts, from Tom his wingman, to the electrician, tiler, painter, fabricator, drywall/texture, etc., they were always kind, respectful and very professional. Both of the outdoor living areas in the front and back of our home, required a wheelchair ramp for our son and Darko designed the ramps so they blended with the deck areas in a very beautiful and cohesive manner. The original layout of our home was a crowded floor plan and dark cabinetry in the kitchen, family room and bathroom. He was able to open up the main living space within the kitchen and keep in mind how we could maneuver our son in his wheelchair while s still bringing in a high end custom remodeled design. Darko's workmanship and finishing details are amazing. From the start of our construction in January and to the completion in May, it was exactly what was promised and was delivered. With any construction job, there can always be delays and hiccups. However, the way Darko runs his projects nothing seemed overwhelming or impossible to remedy. He gives the project a 100% his attention from start to finish and is always available to answer any questions. We feel very fortunate to have found Darko and will always be thankful for the wonderful and beautiful work he did to our home.

Darko and his team are professional's. I had a cracked bathtub that was leaking and needed to be removed and new tub installed. Darko not only replaced the tub but was able to complete a bathroom remodel project in record time. He was on-time, quick to respond to calls/texts and easy to work with. Darko is the contractor you want on your project.

Darko and his crew remodeled my kitchen top to bottom 10 years ago. From start to finish the job was handled with the utmost professionalism and attention to detail. The kitchen remains a showplace largely due to exceptional planning and craftsmanship. Seven years ago Darko and his crew installed a beautiful track lighting system in my great room. This difficult project was handled with care and the finished product is stunning. Additionally, 4 years ago Darko remodeled my master bath, guest bath, and laundry room. Again the workmanship exceeded all expectations. I highly recommend this company and I will continue to use them for all future projects.

We had Core remodel our guest bathroom. The work was done timely and professionally. Darko and his sons were on the job on-time and worked efficiently. We would highly recommend his company for our job and would hire him again without hesitation.

Darko and Core Construction have done several projects for me over the years. He and his crew are the utmost professional people in the industry. He is on time and on budget He and his crew use the utmost care while on and in your property. They take care in protecting your "non project" items with a covering (i.e. floor, windows, furniture, etc) Upon completion of the project, you have your home back to you in a very clean condition. I saw a "net zero energy home" sign and called the number for an estimate/consultation to do a renovation project. Not only was Darko Borovnica knowledgeable in his craft and work ethic, Darko gave brilliant, creative and functional design ideas for each space and room.
