Carick has been our contractor for over 10 years. They have done numerous jobs for us, including renovating our whole main floor, a new kitchen as well as our entire basement. We have been extremely pleased with the work they have done. Their prices are reasonable and Joel knows what he is talking about. He comes up with good suggestions and is easy to get a hold of. We highly recommend him to anyone considering a renovation.

Carick Home Improvements has completed four projects in our home since 2012. Each project was a step towards the full renovation of our 56 year-old North York home. Our first project in 2012 renovated the 2nd floor bathroom, added an en-suite bathroom and refreshed all the upper floor rooms and the landing area. There were two subsequent renovation projects for another bathroom/laundry room and for the kitchen/foyer/living/dining rooms. Our last project to renovate the family room and basement was completed this summer 2023. New drywall replaced the old wood panelling in the family room and basement. The old fireplace was removed from the family room and new flooring was installed throughout. We have been very pleased with all the work done so far. The interior of our home is now fully refreshed and is looking great. Joel has managed each of these projects for us with great care and professionalism resulting in fantastic results. Joel has retained a team of experienced tradespeople over the years that do high quality work. Each project was managed to stay on schedule and on budget. Overall we are happy with the work that Carick Home Improvements has done for us. Joel and his crew do quality work, on-time and at the quoted price. I contracted Carick Hone Improvements to renovate my mother in laws home and they did a great job. They have excellent vendors/suppliers and excellent trades people that they team up with and their office is excellent keeping you updated with choices you need to make for yr renovation and they are super helpful walking you through process of picking finishes and supplies and equipment and appliances and hardware and plumbing finishes and lighting fixtures and outlets and switches and hardwood and carpet and underpadding. A complete wholistic approach to home renovations. Our family was extremely happy with the two renovation projects completed by Carick in our home. Joel was very professional and always available from start to finish to discuss any issues. The team particularly did a great job upfront with getting all the plans, permits and drawings complete and at the end in helping us choose and get the finishes right which made all the difference. Our two projects were large jobs and consisted of a first and second floor remodel and a third floor addition. We are very glad we decided to go with Carick.

We would like to express our appreciation to Carick Home Improvements for the quality work recently completed at our residence. After reviewing several proposals from other firms, my wife and I made the decision to put the renovation work at our Davisville Village home in the capable hands of Joel and his tradesmen. Joel was professional in his approach to providing an accurate scope of work and contract price for our extensive renovation. This included interior upgrades, new flooring, complete kitchen demolition and replacement to a more functional layout, new second floor bathroom and basement powder room and laundry area. All new electrical wiring and complete plumbing replacements were completed as well as new windows throughout. The sub-contractors brought in by Joel were courteous, respectful of our surrounding's and excellent at their trades. Moira and I are very happy with the services provided by Carick Homes Improvements and will certainly use Joel again for future projects. We purchased a 1400 square foot condominium in Toronto in March 2020 and chose Carick Home Improvements to do a complete renovation with Joel Scopelleti as our contractor. The start of the renovation was delayed 3 months by our condo board because of the onset of the pandemic. Doing a renovation during the first year of the pandemic was challenging but Joel kept us informed & on track. He was very approachable/available throughout the process. He was responsive to several unexpected issues and offered appropriate solutions in a timely manner. Joel recommended excellent vendors that he works with for the cabinetry, quartz supply and installation, flooring, etc. He also offered practical advice regarding cost-saving opportunities. Joel has a flair for design and optimized the space within the condominium. The condo was reconfigured to accommodate a combined office/den with built in desk with quartz top and cabinetry as well as a pivoting glass transom to optimize lighting and ventilation. This area leads to a private entrance to the master bedroom suite which includes an intervening hallway/foyer with beautiful built in closets and drawers which provides separation between the master bedroom and ensuite bathroom. We had a small nook along one wall of the dining-room area which was converted to a 10 inch cabinet which included a space to place wine bottles. A recessed ceiling in the living-room was created with a peripheral 2 foot wide slightly lower border with multiple small recessed pot lights. This made the living-room appear more spacious & bright. A wall separating the kitchen from the dining/living room was removed to facilitate an open concept living area. We were required to retain a post which functioned as a conduit for Bell. It was incorporated into the edge of the quartz waterfall of the island and tiled to match the kitchen backsplash. It looks great! After interviewing four contractors we hired Carick Home Improvements to renovate our kitchen and put a small addition on our ninety year old home at the start of the global pandemic. We are "over the moon" at the job performed by Carick Home Improvements, their amazing trades and suppliers! From kitchen cabinets, to flooring to painters everyone took pride in their work! Carick Home Improvements worked in partnership with us from day one and every step of the way they exceeded our expectations. Whenever an issue arose we problem solved it together while staying within our budget! They also successfully navigated the construction ups and downs and lock-downs during the pandemic to get the job done! The result is an absolutely beautiful modern 21st century kitchen, walk out deck and landscaping that is now the "heart and soul" of our home! May 30, 2021 To those who want to renovate… … we highly recommend Carick Home Improvements. We met our project manager, Joel Scopelleti, several years ago at the Toronto Home Show where we were drawn to his booth by the proud display of the many BILD awards given to Carick Home Improvements, but after reading and hearing about reno horror stories we put off doing anything until we felt we really needed to get the work done. After doing our due diligence in getting estimates and doing research, we chose the proven record of Carick Home Improvements and the peace of mind of the Renomark guarantee after our discussions with the very personable – and patient – Joel Scopelleti. Our project involved the total renovation of the ground floor of our backsplit – the kitchen, family room, office, powder room, and hall, including a new staircase – as well as the renovation of the master bath, and the painting of all halls and stairwells. Demolition began on schedule in early March, 2020, and then the Pandemic hit Toronto. For safety reasons, one worker did most of the work, the skilled and multi-talented Paul. We are grateful for his thoughtful approach, the care he took and the quality of his workmanship. We never had an issue or concern with Paul. Throughout, Joel kept in regular communication and quickly addressed other issues that arose, including when an unexpected issue arose several months after completion and was promptly resolved to our satisfaction. We are very pleased with the final product and our experience with Carick Home Improvements. Before we chose to use Carick for a renovation project on our home, we met with many companies – it was important to us that we work with the right people that would do quality work and that we could trust. We are very happy with our decision and have now used Carick for several projects. While the end results are fantastic, the process was excellent as well. The people are reliable and accountable to their customers and they really care about the quality of their work. We will continue to use Carick for projects in the future.

Carik renovated a bathroom for me in 2011. There was a minor problem with the caulking but it was corrected the day following my notification. In 2018, seven years later, water stopped flowing and I notified Carik requesting a fix. Since it was seven years since installation I fully expected to pay. Within two days a plumber appeared and got things back to normal. I was told that there was no charge. In 2014 I had a second bathroom totally renovated by Carik and it has performed perfectly since. In 2014 I had water in my basement and Carik sent a plumbing team around who dug up part of the basement floor and laid tile and waterproofing where necessary. I have had a dry basement since. I have found Carik's work to be of the highest quality and their after sales service to be excellent. In addition, all work was completed within the time span I was quoted. Thank you, Joel.

Firstly, let me say that Joel (from Carick Homes) is honest, and a person I could work with. He quoted me a fixed price for a complete gutting and renovation of my entire condo, and he stuck to that price. He did not nickel and dime me. For example, when I changed my mind from wood to marble for the bathroom door frame, he did not charge me extra to remove and replace the frame (though of course I paid for the marble tiles). ¬ I am very pleased with the result of his renovations – my new kitchen, new bathroom, new study, new livingroom. He even threw in a couple of extras such as putting up my bookcases. In particular, I love the tile work he did – kitchen floor, bathrooms, and a difficult tiling of my foyer floor. I live in an older condo (1957) with uneven floors, cement walls throughout, and an electrical nightmare. Joel dealt with it all. My only complaint is that he was slow. Everything took longer than he at first suggested. If I were to do anything differently, I would come more often to the condo and check on progress.

I have no hesitation in recommending Carick. We've used them for a number of projects including removal of an in-wall A/C unit and subsequent bricking up of the wall (which looks great, BTW) when we first moved into our house. We also hired Carick to replace our front walkway, which 18 years later, still is in great shape with no cracking or heaving. We also used Carick for a basement bathroom remodelling: no shortcuts in workmanship or materials , which will ensure the bathroom will look great and remain waterproofed for many, many years. We've appreciated the communication we have had with Joel at the beginning, during and after each project. He only uses the best workers and we've never had an issue with any of them; in fact we've appreciated the patience Joel and his crews have had with us as we tend to have numerous questions or sometimes aren't sure of the direction to take - and our questions and concerns are always satisfactorily addressed quickly. Finally, the cost of each project has always been in line with that of their competitors. Carick Home Improvements recently completed a full demo and rebuild of our three bedroom condo in Etobicoke and to say the least we are thrilled! From the very onset to the completion of the project we were totally impressed by Geno and his Team. He went to great lengths to explain every step and process from the development of initial contract to the close out of the Permits. Every question and every request throughout the build was addressed in a prompt and timely fashion and Geno went out of his way to ensure that we were making informed and intelligent decisions. Geno in himself was a gift but we would be remiss in we didn’t mention his Team. From the men doing the demolition and construction to the long list of suppliers Geno depends on and recommended, we found dealing with each and every one of them to be a rewarding experience. They listened, heard what we said and then met or exceeded our expectations in all matters. The Carick Team worked with us to ensure quality was provided and cost savings opportunities were being optimised. The attention to detail, service and professionalism that Carick Home Improvements demonstrates from pre-build to day two support is outstanding. We hired Geno to renovate our bathroom. He was very helpful and had great ideas when we were brainstorming ideas for what we wanted. His crew was very professional, and made sure to leave the area clean at the end of each day. When they were taking out the shower wall, they noticed a build up of mold, and thoroughly removed it before putting the new wall up. The bathroom was completed in an acceptable timeline all while ensuring we were happy with the work throughout the process. He was also helpful in providing us with a custom vanity when we couldn't find one we liked. Impressed with the work, we then asked them to remove the "popcorn" ceiling on the main floor and replace it with a flat ceiling and crown moulding. Overall, I would recommend Carrick to anyone looking to complete renovations. They were professional, clean, helpful throughout the entire process, and on time.

Joel and his crew gutted and rebuilt two rooms in our house: the pool table room, now a man cave extraordinaire and the main floor family room, which now includes a beautiful functional music room/home office. In addition, all the floors and doors were replaced throughout the house. It was a big job, and it had to be completed in time for us to move in. All the tradespeople that worked on the project were excellent, as were the suppliers that Carick referred us to. It was done by moving day, and we are loving our new spaces.

Carmela, Joel, Sebastian and all the trades were fantastic! They were professional, kind, fair, supportive and problem solvers. It was a complete interior renovation of a three story townhouse and the house looks great!! I really couldn't be happier!

Joel, Sebastian and the team at Carick renovated our 1950s co-op from top to bottom - moving walls to open up the space, updating windows, doors, plumbing, electrical, refinishing wooden floors and installing new tile. The work included two new bathrooms and a kitchen. Carrick not only helped us realize our vision for the space but improved on our ideas. The craftsmanship in every area is exceptional. The job was complicated - a small space, concrete internal walls to be demolished, and many building regulations. Carrick were unfailingly professional and truly a pleasure to work with. We were very lucky to have such talented and considerate people working on our home.

With Geno and the team of true craftsmen lead by Tomas, we were able to transform an ugly, gloomy bathroom in a beautiful 1957 building into a sparkling new retro/yet truly modern room that speaks to the 50s and to today. I really love it and so do my friends and neighbours.

Carick Home Improvements is a pleasure to work with. I have a 90-year-old house and Carick has undertaken a number of major projects to both repair and enhance the property -- including redoing the front porch and the deck at the back of the house. Carick is a family-run business and the Scopelettis clearly pride themselves on delivering a high standard of craftsmanship and service. The workmen show up on time and are polite. They are also trustworthy and respectful of one's home. We have been working with Geno Scopeletti for more than four years now. We try to keep the home in good repair and Geno is great on making excellent suggestions as to how to accomplish this. In all, we will continue to work with Carick and heartily recommend them. The most recent project date was July 2015, but we have been dealing with Carick for four years.

Joel, Vince, Carmela and the team at Carrick had been great to work with. This was my first major renovation and I couldn't have asked for better a better partnership. While I had a vision of what I thought I wanted the completely remodeled condo to look like, Joel and Vince offered great, practical advice not only on design elements, but also on materials. Mario, who built my kitchen was also great to deal with. Overall, everyone displayed a genuine care for the work was delivered (including all the subcontractors) and not only would I recommend Carrick, I would use their services again without hesitation!

I contacted Carick to gut my bathroom after my bathroom was ruined by a flood. Joel (my principal contact) was very thorough in his inspection and assessment of the damage and what materials would be needed to bring the space up to current building standards upon completion. It was a very positive experience, and would use Carick again.

Carick provided a consultation, explained the projected cost/time line, and described each step of the work that our bathroom renovation world require. In addition they made recommendations that aided us in selecting materials (whether it was grout colours or fixtures) that would give us a beautiful end result. We could not have asked for a professional, courteous and friendly team of people to do the word needed for transform a room that was a disaster area into a gorgeous bathroom that has given us a lot of pleasure and truly improved our home. I recently had Carrick do some renovations within my townhome to the master bathroom. This is the third time I have engaged the company for renovations to my home. I recently had a major renovation done to my home that included an addition. The project was extensive and there were many hurdles to overcome. Geno and Joel were patient and always available to answer questions. They returned phone calls promptly. The home improvement business is full of shady characters and overpromises. Carick did everything in their power to keep their word and make sure I was happy.
