We've endured 7 miserable years and counting. Campisi Construction has been nothing short of a major disappointment. Our house was supposed to be completed in 2015, and Jim and his daughter have repeatedly failed to take any responsibility toward completing their commitments and rectifying the issues with the poor construction. When we request they follow through with their commitments even years after it was supposed to be completed, we were literally told that they were too busy with "paying" customers to even put us on their regular schedule. Campisi Construction has taken full payment, yet, fail to properly manage the project, fail to communicate effectively, and fail to be accountable, and fail to ever complete the job. The amount of time we have spent project managing our own house build is ridiculous. We have pointed out so many mistakes and problems. Each time I follow up on the list of items that were poorly constructed or never completed, Jim has no recollection, or we are told it is someone else's fault. It's truly a bad sign when a general contractor is constantly blaming their subcontractors and suppliers. They haven't even been able to replace 3 simple doors in 7 years. In December of 2021, we notified Jim that a section of our roofing had become detached and was no longer anchored to the house. Nearly 3 weeks later after no response, Jim randomly shows up at our house with a 3 foot ladder to inspect the roof that is nearly 12' high at its lowest point. Because Jim can't reach the roofline or see it, he pokes it with a metal rod from below and finds where the spot we identified. Jim then asks what we expect him to do about it. Naturally a bit surprised I needed to clarify, I explain to him that we expect it to be fixed and to check the rest of the house to make sure this problems is not occurring elsewhere. Jim then proceeded to educate me that it's not the roof, but rather the shingles that have become detached. He said that this was very likely happening with other houses he built in the area, but they just don't know it is happening. That obviously didn't make us feel any better. At this time, we still have no schedule or commitment to finish the house and fix the poor construction. 7 painful years and counting...likely going to have to pursue legal measures.

Jim and his team are a real pleasure to work with. We really enjoyed his personality and experience as they demo'd most of what was our 1200sqft home and rebuilt it into a new 2800sqft two-story craftsman style home.

Working with Jim and his crew has been a very good experience. He provides great input to design/build decisions but is also respectful of our and our designers opinions. We would definitely recommend him.

We hired Jim to complete our house remodel adding 900 sqft to our existing 1600 sq ft home and he built us a brand new 2500 sqft home in a little over 6 months. After interviewing a total of four contractors, we knew from our very first meeting, that Jim was the right contractor for us. He impressed us on his honesty, professionalism, organization and his guarantee that our project would be completed on time. Hiring Jim Campisi for our remodel was single handedly, the best decision we ever made! We heard many horror stories from many of our friend's remodels and each one of them warned us that towards the end of their project, we would end up hating our contractor. In contrast, we had a painless remodel experience and actually would say it was almost a flawless process! We attribute our positive experience to Jim and his top notch team. We often ask our friends who are deciding on picking a contractor, " what do you value in a contractor?". If your answer is a contractor with CHARACTER, is detail oriented, gives superb customer service, and a man that stands by his word as well as his work, then Jim Campisi is your guy.
