Bennett Contracting did an amazing job with a total remodel to our primary bathroom. Sarah on the design team made the whole process fun, and she totally got the look I was going for. A big shout out to Jamison for his professionalism, communication, and craftsmanship! He was so conscientious and left the site and our home super neat and tidy each day- it was effortless.

Recently we had outside work done on our house in Albany. We dealt with Steve Shanholtz from start to finish as the estimator/project manager. He was very knowledgeable and guided us through the project. David Buran, Jameson McCarthy, and Dustin Burton did a wonderful job repairing and painting our eves and dormers. They were all very friendly, courteous, and thorough. Every day they cleaned everything up before we returned home from work as if they were never there. We very much appreciate and love everything they did for us.

Bennett did a great job with our new storm door. It looks beautiful, it’s strong and is good quality material. The installation went smoothly and they even fixed an ugly spot on our door frame while they were at it. We found they were very responsive compared to other contractors and we are very pleased with their work.

Can't say enough good things about Bennett's work so far. Had them install slider, paint and put new flooring in my sunroom, and the place is transformed. Josh and Perry, who did the door were professional and quick. Jesus, who did the painting and installation of new luxury vinyl plank floor, is great. Showed up early, worked hard all day, was always ready and willing to answer questions or work with us on whatever we needed. Looking forward to him and the Bennett team replacing my wood deck with Trex this spring. Should also give huge shoutout to Steve Shanholtz, my project manager, who is great to deal with, responds quickly and has excellent recommendations. Highly recommend.

While Bennett has worked with our family on past projects, this was our first experience with them on our own project. They constructed a 2nd bathroom for us from an existing closet. We worked with Tony C and Justina during the design process and they were able to create a very unique space out of the odd shaped closet that they had to work with. They were flexible on materials, took into account our specific desires and worked through the construction loan process every step of the way. I couldn’t be happier with their sales and design team and in the end, we are enjoying our gorgeous bathroom and all its many details. Within the same project scope, they upgraded our electric service to the house as it was old, and as a courtesy, slid that part of the project in earlier than scheduled so that we could have our AC unit working for the summer heat. This was not necessary for them to accommodate us in this way, but it made us feel considered and accommodated considering the lead time on building materials with this current market. The bathroom details would not have come to fruition without our Lead Installer, Adam Squires. Adam communicated regularly via text and phone, during the 6 weeks that the bathroom took to construct, asked our opinions regularly and in advance to give us time for input before construction and thought ahead of our instincts to make sure that we had a more than satisfactory finished product. He arranged for the soft closing hinge on the pocket door (knowing we wouldn’t want it to slam), took the time to experiment with the the stain color of the shelf trim to make sure it was exactly as we envisioned and added the motion sensor dimming switch for the accent light to make the normal lighting not so severe at night. These details accentuated his excellent all around workmanship from the planning of the rough plumbing, electrical, coordination with the plumber and electrician to the sheet rocking, tile installation, finish carpentry and painting. Our bathroom is beautiful and we can’t wait to do our next project with Bennett.

We contracted with Bennett Contracting to enclose our screened-in porch. We are beyond happy with the results! What went from a 2-season porch, mostly used by our cats, is now a beautiful additional room to our home! We want to thank Anthony for his keen expertise and his construction team - Joe, Jon, Andrew and Chris - who worked their magic! The crew was attentive, answered all our questions during the renovating process, detail-oriented, always making sure WE, the customer, were happy with the results from start to finish. All we expected was a simple conversion. What we got was literally a transformation!

Bennett recently installed a new kitchen floor. The work was done professionally and in less than one day. The crew acted very professionally and were very friendly. Very pleased with the outcome. We recently moved to Delmare and were looking for a contractor to due a complete renovation of our main bathroom(studs to floor). Bennett contracting was continually recommended. We met with Steve, Project Mag'r who listened to our ideas for a age in place bathroom: Sara, Design, was at our next meeting and we all agreed on the plan. The lock down came at the start of the job. Through out the lock down we were kept informed. The job was started and Vinny, lead carpenter, did a excellent job from wall tile, floor, heat duct work & wheel chair accessible shower to all the fixtures. RJ was his helper who was equally competent. At all times the work was neat .clean and we were kept informed as the job progressed. We were so pleased we had a 2nd bathroom completely renovated, a retaining wall built by our deck, a new set of stairs put in off the deck and had the electric supply cable to the meter replaced. We were kept informed through out the job. All the additional tradesmen Chris, Bob & David plumbing, electrical & carpentry did excellent work. Superior workmanship in all the trades. We trust them 100%. We’ve employed them 3 times in the last two years and would not hesitate to bring them into our home again. It’s rare to have a contractor work in your home and not feel stressed. We hardly know they are there. They are problem solvers too. Two of our jobs involved professional evaluation. In one instance we employed Bennett to solve our problem of freezing pipes in the winter, in our new construction home. The builder made several attempts to solve the problem to no avail. Bennett came in to physically evaluate the problem. Then they met with other Bennett team members and developed a well thought out 3 step solution. Bennett came highly recommended by a friend and also a neighbor. We are so pleased to have a contractor we can turn to when needed.

Once again, awesome work by the Bennett Team!. They installed new windows for me years ago and I was thrilled with their work. That’s why I contacted them first for two new projects this year. They replaced a rear storm door on my raised ranch. Looks & works great and was installed properly. They also replaced my old power panel from 1964 with a new 200 amp one. Again done properly and promptly by my 2 Bennett electricians. I will be calling them soon for a potential kitchen upgrade / remodel, maybe some other stuff. Great Job Team!

Got my windows done last December and couldn’t be happier. Windows snugged the place up and they look great. I’m new to the area and did quite a bit of homework gathering estimates and recommendations before choosing Bennett. They came highly recommended from a few folks at work and on Nextdoor. The estimator laid out the range of window options and helped guide me to the best fit for my budget and goals (balance of nice clean look, comfort and price/value). Price and warranty were unmatched. Timelines were clearly communicated and executed. Our carpenters, Moose and Bobby, were excellent craftsman. We have employed Bennett Contracting for two large jobs. A kitchen remodel (7 years ago) and a bay window replacement (recently). This company, from its sales department (EJ was awesome) to the guys doing the work are all a pleasure work with. The work they do is exceptional and I cannot recommend them enough.

These people are pros. The work I had done on my house looks fabulous. Every person who walked through my door was competent and knowledgeable and they were all very tolerant of my crazy (friendly) dog. Several months elapsed between the time I signed the contract and the time the work began, but once they started, everything went smoothly and was completed by the date promised. I'd recommend Bennett to anyone.

Fortunately Bennett was more reliable than I am with reviews. I am more than pleased with this company, right from the estimator Anthony, the head contractor Chris and his assistant Andrew to each person I came in contact with. Basically Bennett built a house on a house. I added a second floor with three bedrooms and a bath which included skylights and a fireplace. The professionalism and quality of work was incredible. They made sure things were done as I wanted and offered suggestions about things that I hadn't thought of. There were no delays due to weather, vacations or illness. The work was completed in the time frame that was given to me on the contract. I can't say enough good things about this company......and you get what you pay for!!!! Thank you

We recently hired Bennett to renovate both of our restrooms to ADA compliance. They sent Heath. I thought it would take forever. He managed to get everything done in 3 weeks, keeping one restroom open at all times. We start early here, but he was waiting in the parking lot for us every morning. He worked all day, every day. There are over 20 employees here, but he answered questions from everyone. We made some changes, as the work progressed. No problem: change order was done, signed, and changes were added seamlessly. He was pleasant and polite and had the best work ethic I have ever encountered. He did a great job, under difficult circumstances, and managed to get it all done in a timely fashion. And, he cleaned up after himself everyday. I would not hesitate to hire Bennett again for any project.

My experience with Bennett Contracting, Inc. couldn't have gone better. Dealing with Bennett was easy and painless.....right from getting the project quote to the project completion. They worked on two projects......deck replacement and door/storm door replacement. The employees who worked on my projects were hard-working, knowledgeable, trustworthy and friendly. I feel very good about contracting with Bennett and will definitely look to them on future projects. We’ve been in our home 37 years, and have used Bennett Contracting for 2 repair and 2 remodeling projects with excellent results. Most recently we added on a 1st floor master bedroom and bathroom, and are thrilled with outcome. Project manager, Tony Cicchino, carpenters, Rob and Kyle, electrician, Bob, plumber, Tony S and designer, Justina were a dream team. The project moved along without delays. Tony Cicchino coordinated with the architect, foundation and HVAC subs to keep the project on track. The staff were wonderful to work with. We highly recommend Bennett Contracting.

Every step of the way, Bennett Contracting exceeds our expectations. We like the price, are happy with the materials but are always delighted with the crew they send here. All the horror stories you've heard about contractors? - forget it - these folks give contractors a good name.

Bennett Contracting is excellent. I recently had my 40 year old garage rehabbed . Normally a project like this would be simple: remove the sheet rock, re insulate, rewire and paint. However I took the opportunity to really upgrade the garage by installing a second all glass electric garage door to the back yard, installing an electric car outlet, new wiring for an external hot tube, new recessed interior ceiling lights, a heating system, a ramp so that vehicles could exit the new back garage door, new lighting fixtures for both entrances, new lamp fixtures for the yard and new ceiling lamps for the kitchen. The work was a bit complex, but the workmanship was impressive. I was so please with the results that I thought I would move into the garage myself and leave the car outside. Instead of having just a garage that was barely functional, I now have an inviting garage that is highly functional for storing my car, providing a place to have as my workshop and a space that acts as a greenhouse in winter. The project was expensive, but it was well worth the results. I could not be happier and will definitely call Bennett for my next project.

Bennett Contracting recently replaced our front entry door and the sliding door from our family room to a deck. Bennet's entire crew, from the estimator to the carpenter who did the work were entirely competent and professional and delivered a top quality job that looks great and were exactly what we were looking for. The work was done on schedule and for the quoted price. We couldn't have asked for a better organization to work with and recommend them highly.

After a fire in our sunroom last year--and the accompanying fire restoration--I called two contractors about rebuilding the room. Only Bennett responded (the next day), and boy, am I glad they did. Steve Shanholtz walked us through the process, responded to our calls promptly, and handled the dreaded insurance-company negotiations. Lead carpenter Brian consulted with us when necessary, but mostly went about his business replacing walls and storm windows and making the whole room look better than it did before the fire. THIS is the kind of responsiveness I dream of every time I need to hire a contractor. Thank you, folks.

My husband and I hired Bennett Contracting to remodel our full and half bathroom. We bought an older home in Delmar and our bathroom left us without a tub with a baby on the way! During our initial walk through Kevin was very knowledgeable and professional and really listened to what we were hoping to accomplish with our projects. An accurate quote was provided and any questions we had were answered promptly. Justina accompanied us to pick out the design elements of our bathrooms and helped make the overwhelming choices very easy! Our head contractor was Joel and we were so happy with his work. Joel went above and beyond with how clean he kept his workspace and our home during the project. I was very concerned with paint fumes, dust, etc. while pregnant but Joel took every precaution. He worked efficiently and my husband and I were in awe of his attention to detail, especially with our floor and wall tiling. We absolutely love our new bathrooms (and the baby is happy to have her tub!) and we cannot wait to bring Bennett Contracting back into our home to remodel our kitchen.

I contracted Bennett to replace 3 windows, remove a window and install a door and renovate a bathroom installing new fixtures. I was very pleased with the contractors on site. Courteous, polite, informative. Discussed issues as they arose and offered options for solutions. Post project issues and concerns were addressed and resolved to my satisfaction.

We recently moved to Chatham, NY after living in Albany for many years. Bennett Contracting did multiple jobs for us while in Albany (kitchen 2x, bathroom, roof, closet, ceilings, attic, front and back porches, basement windows, storm windows, etc.). They were always wonderful so we asked if they'd follow us to Chatham for some work on our new home. Once again, all the work they did for us was great and they're coming back in the spring to do more. You could not ask for estimators and workers who are more professional and conscientious as those we have worked with from Bennett. Forget about any contractor horror stories. There are none, just honest and professional work of the highest order.

We hired Bennett for a powder room remodel, closet work and an attic insulation. The project manager was knowledgeable and organized. Their quote was slightly higher than some of the competitors, but they were recommended by several colleagues who argued that the slightly higher price was well worth it given the extra level of professionalism, quality, and organization that they bring to their projects. The advice was accurate. The project manager was far more knowledgeable than others I had interviewed. The work flow was organized, coordinated, and on schedule. The carpenters on the project were professional, personable and did an outstanding job. We plan to hire them again for other projects.

We trusted Bennett to make our home beautiful and more energy efficient. They were extremely thorough and were able to make some of the doors custom due to the position of the doorways. The guys were there on the coldest day of winter installing 11 windows. They worked quickly, but with attention to detail, and were very respectful about keeping our floors clean on their way in and out. Bennett helped make our house beautiful.

Bennett and their crew replaced my windows, siding and roof. They did an excellent job and they will be the contractors I call when it is time to do my kitchen and baths!. At one point we had a leak in one of the bathrooms which happened the Friday after Thanksgiving. I called and alerted Kevin Gutmann and they have a man out that afternoon to address the problem.

Words cannot express how happy we have been with Bennett! 4 years ago we had a full window and siding replacement done and could not have made a better choice in our contractor. The process began with (Kevin) giving us a view into what our home could be. He was able to make changes and give us a digital rendition of our project before we even began. While the project was ongoing we received daily updates from our project manager as to how the progress was going. The project was done in just over a week without issue. Earlier this year we did have one small issue, a piece of flashing came off the roofs edge during a horrid windstorm. This was at no fault of Bennett's workmanship but did contact them for the repair. To my surprise they dispatched a truck to asses the damage while I was at work and repaired the issue free of charge! In a day in age when nothing is for free Bennett stepped up to do what was best for the customer. This might seem to be a "Prompted" review but I can assure you that it is not! I gladly will speak Bennett's praises to anyone who would question their work quality or commitment to customers.

Our home project started with the installation of 3 bathroom fans and once we realized how much more Bennett could provide we expanded our project to include insulation,siding and soffit ventilation. (Incidentally ,we elected to expand the scope of work,there was no pressure from Bennett staff. ) The work was excellent from start to finish,well organized,professional and efficient. Every day the work area around the house was cleaned and all tools and supplies stored away. Personally,I gave much experience with construction work large and small,and we rate Bennett A++

Installed 6 new vinyl replacement windows (with grids). Installed coil & caulking to outside. Cleaned up. Answered our questions. Perfect. Additional Info. Two installers showed up on time as promised. Professional. Installed the 6 windows in just a few hours, cleaned up, showed us how the windows work & answered any questions we had. Old windows were taken away. We are very pleased. So pleased that we are had salesman Tony C. stop by again and measure 12 additional replacement windows + 2 sliding glass doors for the rear of the townhouse + a new front door. Pricing is very reasonable. Numerous brands & designs for your personal tastes. We had originally found Bennett Contracting, Inc. on Angieslist.com wherein they have an overall A rating. A co-worker had used them awhile ago for window replacement & recommended them. Additional note: when speaking with salesman Tony C. he advised us that all staff are full-time employees (as opposed to other companies who sub-contract jobs and it's a "roll of the dice" as to the level of competence & experience appearing at your doorstep). Summary. If you desire home repairs/construction completed by professionals who "know what they are doing" in combination with complete professionalism from salesman to installer - choose this contractor (note - my wife and I have no connection to this contractor or any employees). Each employee was professional. They completed the job on time. They were very accommodating with any changes we made and the time line schedule. They were very neat and meticulous and cleaned up after each days work. The quality of work was excellent. We are very happy with our new kitchen and hardwood flooring.

We are remodeling our kitchen and asked Bennett to come in for a quote. We haven't hired them yet but the estimator was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. His ballpark quote was on the higher end of the quotes we received; however, it's our understanding that they perform quality work. We've seen examples of their previous work completed and are very impressed with them. We intend to hire them in the future to complete projects for our house.

They have done our windows and replaced our front door. Our house was built in 1920 so nothing is standard size. They had to custom size the openings and did a fantastic job. The estimates for the jobs were right on. All the employes were friendly and professional.

Bennett Contracting Inc. did a major ‘curb appeal’ update on my home which included taking off the old siding and enclosed front porch, installing new siding and building a new front porch. The building materials, roll off, inspector etc. showed up at the designated time and all materials were the correct size, color and model the first time around. There were no delays encountered for any of those details. The workmen were very professional. I believe I received good value for the money I spent. The whole experience exceeded my expectations and I would recommend Bennett Contracting, Inc.

I called them to get an estimate for windows. I have yet to get the windows replaced, but they were courteous, on time and their prices were reasonable.

House siding, front gutter and front sidewalk reconstruction. Very professional and well done. Also, installed a new front porch post.

Two decorative columns on my front porch were replaced and looked exactly as they should - even though they are fiberglass, they look like the original wood and were installed without a hitch. I also had two hand rails and banisters made of pressure treated wood installed and they were custom fitted to the columns perfectyly. I am very satisfied with the work done by everyone involved. They were professional, prompt and clean. They even called to do the job earlier than the projected date.
