Avis homes has done 2 remodels for us. Mike Avis is professional with a keen eye for aesthetics and details. He is knowledgeable about current market trends. Both are jobs were completed in time.

We have worked with Mike Avis on three major home remodeling projects since 2009. Each project was a positive experience thanks to Mike's highest professional standards and expertise in listening to our needs, developing a plan to accomplish those needs, and overseeing all aspects of the project within a reasonable time and cost frame. We would highly recommend Mike Avis to consult and complete any home remodeling project.

We had been thinking about a kitchen remodel for a long time, but were apprehensive about the process. Mike helped us design the kitchen we wanted, offering an enormous amount of expertise and options, based on our preferences, and coordinated everything from there. In addition, we also re-modeled an upstairs bathroom, expanding to add a new shower. Mike was able to remove our concern that the updates would be what we wanted. He was there, in person, every day, ensuring that the project progressed on time and on budget. He coordinated all of the tradesmen's activity and that everything was meeting our expectations. Mostly, I have to say, Mike's attentiveness to detail made us confident we were getting superior service. We've been enjoying our improvements for years now and are still thrilled with the decision to go forward with Mike.

Avis Homes provides quality workmanship and professionalism. You are provided with a through bid and detailed schedule. The work is completed efficiently and on time. The end product is very high quality with very few, if any, punch list items. Avis provides creative ideas for the re-design of your space. Avis Homes remodeled our Kitchen and downstairs areas in 2011 and our children's bathroom in 2012.

We used Avis Homes to replace windows at our house and were pleased with the experience. Mike was always on site and very eager to answer all our questions.

We couldn’t give Mike any higher praise. From the beginning of the process to the final stages he was a true joy to work with. He managed the process, effectively communicated and above all he was honest, upfront and transparent with us throughout the entire project (something that isn’t easy to find in a contractor). His attention to detail constantly impressed us (even when he was going brick by brick for our new patio and making them remove bricks he didn’t like). The sub-contractors that he used were professional, courteous and truly top-notch. For future projects we wouldn’t even consider getting competitive bids.

Mike Avis of Avis homes has completed several projects in my home from window replacement to custom cabinets and bookshelves and more. I thought I knew what I wanted but Mike's ideas took mine to the next level and I loved the outcome! The best part was that I had an itemized contract before the work started and he was here every day of the projects to monitor and adjust as necessary. The projected schedule was accurate and kept. Every one of his workers was respectful, clean and excellent at what they do: carpenters, electricians, plumbers, painters, tuckpointers, etc. I absolutely recommend him! You will be happy!

We have used Avis Homes for several projects over the last 10 years and my wife and I highly recommend Mike Avis and Avis Homes. He is more than just a builder; he has excellent eye for design, great organizational skills and tremendous attention to detail. At the outset of a project, he works to define a detailed list of requirements and a very accurate project plan shared using Google, which is accurate down to the day each contractor will be on site for a specific task. He does not employ any sales pressure and works to find solutions in your budget range. He is also very good at identifying risks and keeping accurate change request lists. He deploys some of the best and most reliable contractors who are respectful of your home and always punctual. The projects are completed on time and on budget and look better than you even hoped. It's rare that people rave about their builders and almost no one does. However, Mike Avis and Avis Homes is a true exception and we can't say enough good things. He has redone nearly every room in our 90 year old house and we plan on using him for our next project which includes a significant basement remodel and staircase rebuild. We wouldn't consider anyone else for the project.

Used Avis Homes for two separate remodeling jobs in the last several years. Very detail oriented, doesn't disappear when the job is underway, got things done in a timely fashion, made good on any punch list items, and most importantly -- did quality work. If and when there's a next project, we'll call again.

We first used Avis Homes to replace the windows in our town home.Mike was there every day to supervise his crews. They were efficient, clean and the installation went very well. It was January so efficiency was important and they did a good job. Some months later we decided to expand an upstairs office and build in bookcases. Mike gave us a competitive bid and did a very good job with the construction and finishing work. We would highly recommend Mike and his firm.
