CLX6000 Fireplace remote seems to have a mind of its own, changes fan settings, and flame height by itself. Remote Eats batteries and make a annoyingly loud beep every time a button is pressed, and another beep when the signal is received by the fireplace. The sound of the beep reminds me of a smoke detector with a dead battery. Not elegant at all. The fireplace makes a loud banging noise every time it cools down like the large sheet metal box that forms the outside is expanding and contracting. To make things even more frustrating, the local dealer closed their doors so I don't have their support either. I'm seriously disappointed with this purchase and wish I could replace it with a different brand, but its sealed in behind some really nice stone work, so I'm stuck with it. The only good thing I can say is the logset is probably the most realistic you are going to see in a gas fireplace.

If I could I’d give zero stars. Bought a $5300 gas insert because the info they sell you is that it can heat a 1400 sq house. Lucky if it heats 200 sq. Stupid on our part to believe the bs. Company doesn’t care and they even removed the 1400 sq claim from their brochures. DO NOT buy from the company.

Have had a Heat and Glo for eight years. It has out gassed the whole time we have owned it. Dealer, factory did nothing, advised they could not identify problem after several visits.
Got fed up. Had someone come out with a gas sensor, and it went crazy. They located a warped piece of sheet metal out of which fumes from the firebox escaped into the room. The air purifier turned red for danger when the fireplace was on. This fireplace is a health hazard! It needs to be recalled. Please, do not buy or install one unless you have no care for the health of the occupants!
Posting this out of concerns for the health of buyers.

We purchased a heat & glo two years ago and have had about 6 months where it actually works. We have been waiting on a service since September (its Feb). Neither the local service company or Heat and Glo care. I would never buy another Heat and Glo.

Excellent foyer modèle 7x slim Line. Très belle qualité et apparence. Excellent rapport qualité prix. Le seul problème est lié à l installation. Dans notre cas nous avons du faire venir le technicien 2 fois car il y avait toujours des problèmes avec la suie et la hauteur des flammes. Cela dépendait du manque de connaissance de l installateur du produit. Il faut s assurer de bien calibrer le foyer et vérifier la pression du propane des les premieres étapes d installation. Si le foyer est mal calibrer il est certain que vous serez déçus mais avec la bonne installation i les flammes seront identiques à celle des publicités.

The Tiara I is a nice looking propane stove. I don't have a problem with the looks or heat output. I just had this installed, 8-2021. The problem is the so-called burn-in period. I've run this thing for 40 hours on high and it still stinks like crazy. Their instructions say run for 4 hours, clean the glass, then run for 12 hours. That's 16 hours total. I've run it 2.5 times that and it still stinks like crazy. You can't really occupy the house when it outgasses since it smells so toxic. What a waste of time and propane and use of my house.

Installed a heat and glo fireplace in our new master bedroom. It beeps loudly every time it starts and stops. Every time you touch the remote it beeps. Dealer says he can’t do anything about it. No way to contact heat and glo.
Now we never use it because it wakes us up when we set it in thermostat control. What a joke! Very disappointed and terrible customer support.

Moved into a house with Heat & Glo fireplace. The local dealer has terrible reviews online so we don't want to use them. Only able to find one technician on Cape Cod who works on them. But he is obviously out straight. Before buying a fireplace, research how many dealers are out there first.

We purchased a Heat n Glo Tiara 2 propane free standing stove in 12/19. As of the end of February, it still isn’t working right, when it works at all. The first thing that happened was that the glass company caked immediately after it was taken out of the box. We still don’t have the replacement glass—the first one arrived broken and it’s replacement hasn’t come yet. While it worked initially, the thermostat didn’t so we couldn’t keep it on all the time. The installer has been out here numerous times. The retailer has now called the tech to come and look at it. She said that they aren’t very responsive. We bought a new remote and after it was paired the thermostat still didn’t work. It doesn’t matter because it doesn’t always start or if it does, there’s a long wait which makes me nervous (it’s supposed to ignite immediately). I’ve requested a replacement of the whole stove.
DO NOT BUY THIS STOVE— especially if you live in a cold climate! You’ll freeze to death.

Horrible Customer service. We ordered a $2000 SL unit. It ended up not looking right in the wall after we seen in person off the blue print. We then tried to exchange it for the SL5 and they said they had to charge us a 25% restock fee. But never were we told about this! They would not work with us at all even though we were still buy another unit almost the exact same price.

I complained to the "Hearth Expert Dealer Business Partner- West Region" regarding the noise my Heat N Glo SL-7 makes on ignition. The reply was...
"I assume it is LP gas which it is not uncommon to have an aggressive ignition noise, it generally will be worse if use the lowest flame setting as the gas flows in at a lower rate therefore taking longer to ignite. What you describe though is not uncommon, especially on LP."
...not the response I hoped for. The ignition noise is worse on a higher setting. In other words you get what you get. I have other gas inserts on LP and they don't sound like an oil can about to split.
I would avoid this unit especially if you thought you want something in a bedroom.

MR. FIREPLACE A DISTRIBUTOR FOR HEAT & GLO IN CALGARY ALBERTA CANADA
HAD THE HEAT & GLO SL5X INSTALLED IN MAY 2018. HAS BEEN WORKING A LOT THIS WINTER 2018 / 2019 AND HAS WORKED VERY WELL WITH NO PROBLEMS. ONLY PROBLEM I HAVE IS WITH THE FLAME ITSELF. THE FLAME IS BURNING ESSENTIALLY 100 % FROM THE CENTRE / MIDDLE 0F THE BURNER. THERE IS ABOUT 5 - 6" ON THE LEFT AND RIGHT SIDE OF THE BURNER THAT HAS ESSENTIALLY NO FLAME AND THEREFORE IS NOT BURNING UP AROUND THE LEFT AND RIGHT LOGS MAKING IT LOOK UNREALISTIC TO SAY THE LEAST. I WILL BE TALKING WITH MR. FIREPLACE OUR SUPPLIER AND INSTALLER TO SEE IF THIS PROBLEM / SITUATION CAN BE REMEDIED. MAYBE SOME SIMPLE ADJUSTMENTS IS WARRANTED. UNTIL THEN ONLY 3 STARS. WILL UPDATE AFTER I HAVE DISCUSSED WITH MR. FIREPLACE. MAYBE ITS AN INHERENT HEAT & GLO DESIGN AND CAN'T BE FIXED. IF SO I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PARTICULAR UNIT. WILL SEE
