Today, Big Ash Fireplace and Stoves has grown to become a full-service family owned business, featuring the finest fireplaces, inserts, stoves, hearth accessories, and outdoor products available. We are now a certified contractor with NYSERDA for the renewable heath NY initiative. If you currently do not have access to Natural Gas, you may be eligible to receive $1,500-$2,500 towards a new pellet stove. Contact store for more details. Big Ash Fireplace and Stoves is owned and operated by Jason Toomey. Jason is one of only three certified Chimney Sweeps in the Rochester and surrounding area. Big Ash is a member of the Hearth, Patio and Barbecue Association, the Better Contractors Bureau, the National Chimney Sweep Guild, as well as other local associations. We as a company are constantly striving to learn more so that we can assist our customers in every possible way. We service Monroe, Orleans, Genesee, and other surrounding counties.

I did a ton of research in the area to find someone to not only inspect my fireplace but give me some suggestions on whether to move forward with a traditional fireplace or get some kind of insert. Jason and team are super knowledgable and clearly love what they do. I ended up getting a wood burning insert and they communicated every step of the process and then some. I love the insert they installed and they really walked me through how to take care of it and use it properly. These guys went above and beyond for me, I couldn't ask for a better service, these guys are top notch and it was a pleasure working with them.

I had my 55 year old wood burning fireplace cleaned and the subject went to more convenient and efficient alternatives. After a great conversation of what was available Jason said to stop by the showroom for a hands on look. We stopped at the showroom and met his wife and baby. They were so informative and friendly. We saw a gas insert we liked and set up a date for installation. Jason and his helper were prompt, neat, clean and respectful of our home. He installed it in one day working into the early evening to get it finished. He did a perfect job. We have a large Fireplace Extraordinaire gas insert. It has two burners with many flame levels, lights, a whisper quiet fan with many speeds. It will work on a thermostat or manually and has a battery backup pilot too heat thee house in a power failure. It has an easy to use remote that controls everything! It is so much more efficient than our old wood burner and there is no more stacking and carrying wood or hauling out ashes. Our smoke alarms will no longer go off constantly. We love or new gas insert. It will keep us toasty warm on the fridged lake front for decades!

There are not enough words to describe how absolutely thrilled and grateful we are for Jason and Big Ash Fireplace & Stoves. Jason went so far above and beyond what was expect and frankly required of someone to fix the problem we had with our stove and chimney. You can absolutely tell that Jason loves what he does and he truly cares. He treats situations as if the problem were occurring in his own home. I am very pleased with my fireplace gas insert installed by Big Ash. It was a long day for the guys drilling through the concrete for the gas line but success in time and I now have a handsome unit in my tv room. I came to Big Ash with a budget and was pleased to find an attractive unit with a few dollars less than planned. Stop in if shopping for any type of stove/fireplace to check out the prices. You'll find the staff friendly, knowledgeable and they do aim to please.

Jason and Julie from Big Ash are the best! They helped us to design a great gas fireplace, tile surround , and mantle. Their crew was very professional and did an excellent job installing the unit .
