The Virginia Carpenter, Inc. is a family-owned residential contracting company offering a variety of specialized services. Founded in early 2010 after nearly a decade as a sole proprietorship, we are built upon an established reputation for delivering top-quality craftsmanship and excellent customer service in the residential construction field. Luke M. Cullinane, President, is a third generation carpenter and builder from Loudoun Heights, VA. He was raised on jobsites: sweeping, working as a helper/laborer, and eventually taking on the finish carpentry. His early experience was largely working on Colonial reproductions built by his father and uncles. Luke's fluency in Colonial architecture and form was further refined in Williamsburg, where he earned his Bachelors degree in Art from William & Mary. With a strong foundation in one of the greatest architectural periods in housing and an artists' eye, he is skilled at translating the elements of form, symmetry and function to suit a variety of styles and situations
