Pavlo Starykov is a deeply thoughtful, outrageously committed, and incredibly generous tile professional. He is also a person of great integrity. Unable to hire him because we live on the other side of the country, he, nonetheless, engaged in months of phone calls and emails with us trying to scientifically understanding of why our new marble shower floor started to discolor immediately. We found him online when we were researching the problem ourselves, and he immediately became both an ally and a sleuth detective in trying to understand the problem and solution. He even cemented and grouted a sample of our tile to see if he could recreate the situation and could solve it in his own backyard. This is just a small sample of the amount of time and energy he spent with us trying to understand whether the problem was a material problem—which he researched extensively—or an installation problem—which, in the past, he has seen and corrected. His knowledge, skill, and curiosity, as both a stone and tile expert, were boundless. He cared about our tile floor and the big costs associated with fixing it as if it was his own. In short, the generosity Pavlo extended to us revealed his integrity as a human being as well as a professional. This review may sound grandiose, but it’s truly just a snapshot of the generosity, personal mission, and commitment that Pavlo brings to his life as a stone and tile professional.

Pavlo did an incredible job on our master bathroom, powder room and laundry room. In fact, his work was so great we had him come back to do another bathroom downstairs and will use him again in the spring for another project. Pavlo is one of the most trustworthy contractors I have ever encountered. His work ethic, attention to detail and care is truly unmatched. There is no comparison to any other tile and stone person on the market - I'm beyond thrilled we got to have him work on our home.

Pavlo was the perfect contractor - good communicator, reliable and did excellent work. He removed and replaced an area of exterior tile that had come loose on the front concrete porch of our house. It’s impossible to tell the difference between the old and the redone parts. And, he’s super polite, tidy about clean-up and pleasant to talk to.

Needed a small project done, couldn't find anyone willing to do it, till I called Pavlo who finally said yes and made time for me in his busy schedule to come over and get it done. I was so impressed on how fast and efficient he is, and very friendly! It was a pleasure to meet him and have him in our home. Highly recommended...will tell my friends & family. Pavlo is highly skilled, very knowledgeable, and does his work with passion, care, and integrity. After several failed searches, I thought I would expand to the Vancouver area (we are in White Salmon, WA) and found Pavlo's website. He responded quickly (within a day) of my web form inquiry, and scheduled us for the following week, as he had another client postpone. This was a huge relief (and so easy!) after 10 months of no responses, measurements but no follow-through, etc. Pavlo did excellent work, and was meticulous about it. Not only did he complete our kitchen backsplash, but he also made time for a small project in one of our bathrooms. We highly recommend Pavlo!

Star Tile just finished tiling my bathroom, and Pavlo did a wonder job, everything is just perfect, all of the grout lines were strait and even, the wedi system was installed textbook perfect. Pavlo used all of the best products on the market (ardex epoxy grout etc) and everything about the project was top notch. He explained what and why he was doing every step of the way, and made a few suggestions to help make my project more visually attractive (liner tile around the top) I would recommend Star Tile and Stone to everyone, and I am looking forward to getting my fireplace and back-splash tiled. Pavlo showed up exactly when he said he would and finished the job on time and on budget. No Surprises!

Pavlo does high quality work and his prices are fair. This man has integrity and takes pride in his craftsmanship. Using Pavlo's words, 'I take joy in what I do,' should tell you a lot about this company. We had 5 different contractors bid our master bathroom remodel. After meeting with Pavlo for 10-15 minutes, my wife and I knew that he was the one to do the job. We are so glad we had Star Tile & Stone do the work, you won't be disappointed!

Pavlo did a great job on our large project. We remodeled three bathrooms; Master, Kid's, and Guest. The Kid's and our Master each had several niches that we had him do with marble and they look great. In the Master, he made the pan as well. The bathrooms aren't large and so the tile setting was complicated and required many many cuts. We are very happy with the work and how great Pavlo and Deniz were to work with. Highly recommend.

Pavlo is not just a tile setter, he is an artist. His work is superb. He is on time to work. The job site is very neat and tidy at the end of the day. I have remodeled many homes but the master bath shower, heated floor tile and backsplash are the work of a man who cares about his work and the people he is working for.

If you want quality work done and a fair price give Star Tile and Stone a try the very best work we had him redo both bathrooms and a couple of months we'll have him do our laundry room.
