RID Stone Granite & Marble

RID Stone is unorganized, very unprofessional, and an awful company! I met with Brian (the former sales rep in the summer 2018) and paid in full for 3 slabs of quartz for my kitchen and 3 rems for my bathrooms as a whole house remodel. We got our last backsplash installed about a week ago. Daniel did not order our material on time, which caused an upfront delay and rescheduled 3 times. We were on a very tight timeline that I explained to him since July. We had most of our project installed in Aug/Sept and the rest was beyond delayed and we have had countless other issues with the company and install. My last backsplash piece required me to drive to RID Stone almost weekly to get an update on my install. Save yourself a lot of headache, time and frustration and find another fabricator. Daniel and Donald will take your money and probably not deliver much else.

Buyer beware. We paid RID in full on 12/20/2018 (check was cashed on 12/24/2018) to install our countertops on 1/16/2019. As of 2/15/2019, we have still not received our countertops and do not have a guaranteed installation date. We will update this review if/when the countertops have been installed.

AWFUL company. not sure of the exact dates but we started working with them when I was pregnant with my son and he is now 9 months old. terrible communication and turn around time. Do not use them. You will be sorry.

I would caution anyone considering using rid stone. There operation of getting paid clients work done as promised and installed is a no laughing matter. At the end of July 2018 I paid Rid Stone in full for the slab and the fabrication with the understand that the counter tops needed to put in on November 1st. Scheduled the day after was the tiling of the back splash and the following day the plumber and the electrician. I called the day before installation and was informed I was not scheduled until the 7th of the month. This meant the scheduled contractors needed to be told to change to the following week. All made arrangement to come the following week. On the 7th of November I was informed the installers were not coming because of a sundry of reasons which others have already told about. On the 14th of November I had to call to see where the installers were. They had forgotten that the installation was to take place and had not even stated on cutting out the quartz and far from beginning fabrication. Once again the other contractor needed to be put on hold. It was the week of Thanksgiving that the counter tops finally went in but all the contractor now could not come until mid December to finish the work in the kitchen. I was to have a completed kitchen for my guest to see but thanks to Rid Stone Thanksgiving was a no go in my kitchen. Rid Stone seems not to care if you get your installation in on time. It is very frustrating to put your life on hold for a company that could less if the work is done on time. I will say that the counter tops they put in are well done and look very nice in my kitchen.

We're currently in the process of trying to have our counter top installed, nearly three weeks after we paid them with a check, in full which is required to lock in an installation date. They have not even secured the slabs for our counter yet they've already cashed the check. We were supposed to have our counters installed on the morning of Wednesday November 14. As of 11/13 they did not even have the slabs for fabrication. We called and inquired on the status when we were told they wanted to make sure everything was done right and rescheduled us for between 3-5pm still on the 14th. We received a call at 2pm saying our appointment was pushed out to Saturday. This short notice is unacceptable. They didn't seem to provide an exact reason for pushing out our installation, so we drove to their business location asking to see our quartz slabs that should have been in the warehouse prepped and ready to be installed. After going back and forth with Dan we finally found out our slabs were not even at their warehouse. They've agreed (in writing) to provide us with two free vanities for our trouble, and our counter was scheduled to be installed Saturday November 17 in the morning. Not surprisingly, we received notice on Friday saying our installation was going to be pushed out again because the owner, Don, couldn't get our quartz because the warehouse in which is was located closes early on Fridays, and he was having issues with his credit card limit to purchase the slab in the first place. Just a reminder, we already paid him. If this issue gets corrected, I'll update this review. Until then, I would avoid RID Stone entirely. All of the negative reviews online have a similar story to what we've experienced so far..

Rid stone did great job on my project with my kitchen countertops. Very happy . I will recoment this company to everbody. Thank you. Will definetly come back for new projects.

We would not recommend RID Stone. Very unprofessional, disorganized and they did not complete our countertop and backsplash in a timely manner. It took just over 2 months from giving our initial payment to have our project started. And then took over 2 weeks to have the project completed. Very unsatisfactory business.

Chelsea is one of the nicest and most knowledgeable people in the industry. She goes out of her way to be helpful and insightful. She can offer her own advice confidently. I would strongly suggest that people go out of their way to seek Chelsea out for their sales professional. You won’t be sorry !!

After going to over ten fabricators we decided to use RID. This turned out to be an excellent choice, not only was Chelsea extremely helpful, but her understanding of the materials, prices and options available to us were top notch. Every aspect from selection, fabrication and installation was professional and timely. We will certainly use RID in our next project and continue to provide recommendations to our friends and family.
