We've had the pleasure of working with Pete and his team on four projects. Each time, we've been totally thrilled at the result. In addition, although our purchases have been small compared to their large clients, we've been treated like we are their only client! We are planning to put more Meltdown Glass in our home when we remodel later this year. We highly recommend them! You won't be disappointed.

Meltdown Glass Art and Design made me the most beautiful glass vanity top for my powder bath. The color and texture is exactly what I was hoping for. Pete and Alisa were so kind and patient, they made the whole process very easy. Pete said he could get it done by a certain date and he did. I’m very glad I found this company and look forward to the next design.

Pete and the staff at Meltdown Glass are fantastic! Excellent craftsmanship, on top of everything, timely, and very helpful. Pete wants you to love and be happy with your art glass. I feel that he went above and beyond which is uncommon these days. Meltdown made gorgeous glass panels for my kitchen and bathroom. I couldn’t be happier; both the glass designs and service exceeded my expectations.

My old bathroom was completely transformed into a personal spa by the wonderful, airy and playful qualities of Meltdown Glass' light-catching dichroic sparkles on the watery forms of the well-crafted cast glass.
After getting my old (1978) roman tub completely refinished with new waterproofing, new fixtures and tile, I couldn't bear to put up a curtain to hide the new bath. And there was so much light coming in from the new window, it needed to be more open to let in the light.
Pete Hayes of Meltdown Glass was very helpful in providing detailed examples of similar installations and recommending a local installer with good experience in installing art glass. Everything went smoothly.
Even though my bathroom is only 36 sf, it feels like I'm entering a spa every time I step into my lovely new shower.

BJ designed and executed a custom cast glass wall for our office that enclosed three executive offices. The glass wall completely sets the tone of our office, perfectly complementing the ground concrete floors and industrial feel of our interior design. I think it is so cool that such a stunning piece of art is also a really functional part of our every day space.
Meltdown is easy to work with and understands how their process impacts the downstream users. On our project, Meltdown worked closely with our glazing contractors in determining the installation methods and glass sizing so that we'd have a perfect fit in our openings. You can see in the pictures that the side-lites, transoms and wall panels all had to meet perfectly to achieve the design. You guys are awesome! Thank you!

As a designer, I have recommended and worked with Meltdown Glass on several major commercial projects. Each had its own set of unique challenges, and each time they met or exceeded my expectations. The clients, end users, and project team were pleased with their creative result. I have seen them grow over the years, always willing to push the envelope and challenge themselves. They have proven over and over they are up to the task. They are capable, professional...and fun!...to work with, too.

We have used Meltdown Glass in several homes we owned. All of the work done we were just so excited to have - guests, friends - ALL loved and appreciated the beautiful work BJ and her team had created for us: from side frames to compliment the over sized doors to our home office; art work for our large patios...the ONLY regret we have is that this work, incredibly beautiful work could not be saved alas from the home fire!
So now in our rebuild, we are simply happy and thrilled to have more glass work from Meltdown! This time for now, we chose to replace our simple glass cabinet doors by Meltdown Glass and we love it! A chef d'oeuvre I say!
We cannot wait to slowly add more of Meltdown Glass around our new home, their work bring joy, happiness, and beauty to our home for all to appreciate.
Working with the team, Chris, BJ and Pete was simple! What I also appreciate was that they tested this "project" to ensure it would hold and the first try was not, so they quickly kept me updated as to when they thought I would get the work delivered. After loosing a home to such a destructive fire, WE LEARN rather quickly to appreciate all those trying to make a difference in one's life, but also in ensuring QUALITY and DURABILITY in the products we were bringing in to our home.
I am sorry to read about the other person's experience, but for my husband and I, we have been dealing with Meltdown Glass for over 14 years now, and have had an absolutely excellent and truly professional experience with the entire team!
Just with two kids in college right now, our other Meltdown projects will need to wait another year or so! But I cannot wait to get more done!
I wish Meltdown CONTINUED success for the work they do ...I just so enjoy sitting in front of what has been done in our home, but also when I visit several of the offices - medical, business - I often spend a few extra minutes to enjoy the art work!

Working with them was a nightmare. They constantly pushed the completion date off with a plethora of excuses ranging from broken down equipment-with one time claiming that 75% of their temper kilns being broken down-to a lengthy funeral leave. At first when they were selling their services, they promptly returned phone calls and emails. But, seemingly, once they had my deposit in hand, things took a drastic turn for the worse, with communications slowing, emails not answered, completion date pushed off numerous times, promises broken, excuse after excuse after excuse, and the final product considerably different from their website picture, and sample sent. If that wasn't bad enough, when they finally did finish the glass, they refused to ship until they had full payment in hand. Seemingly, the whole act of taking half down was nothing more than a ruse to get you hooked/committed; with the intention all along to demand full payment before you get to see and approve the final project. Thousands of your dollars spent with them demanding full payment before you can even see the finished results, with absolutely no recourse if you aren't satisfied. Once you make that initial payment, you are art their mercy and lose complete control. Being totally dissatisfied with the completed product-they lacked the integrity to make it right and flooded me with excuses of-"oh, you know glass making is an imperfect science", and, "you know, we can't guarantee how glass is going to react and because of that we just can't say what it will look like in the end. But we want you to be happy!" Yet that didnt include redoing it to make it like their picture on their website nor their sample. What it included was them trying to convince me that I liked the end result! In the end, I was sold a bill of goods. They were thousands of miles and many states away. I had already spent thousands of dollars and wasn't willing to spend thousands more for an attorney for an unknown outcome. And something told me they knew that. Lesson learned!

Comentario de Meltdown Glass Art & Design, LLC:
To Whom it may Concern;
Because our glass is completely hand-made, there are sometimes variations between panels within a project or between samples and the installed final product. These nuances give each piece of glass added value and an artistic quality that is truly unique.
Those who want a hand-made product are attracted to our craftsmanship, artisanship and artistic capability. We provide samples to give an idea of what the glass will look like, but glass is a complex material, our methods are hand crafted, not uniform manufacturing with permanent molds, and variations in appearance are part of our process. We can assure everyone reading this that we have quality control and do not send out substandard art glass as implied.
We love art glass, we deeply respect our clients, we value our relationships with our many repeat clients, and we endeavor to be as helpful and full service as possible. This will never change. We are surprised because this is the opposite experience to that of most all of our clients until now have expressed. Our entire team cares deeply about our clients, their art glass and their projects and we go the extra mile for our clients.
We are sincerely sorry that this client feels the way he does about our company. We are upset by the contents of his review, but there are always two sides to every story. We feel that we made every reasonable effort to satisfy him. We encourage people to read the other reviews about our company with an open mind and draw their own conclusions.
Before we ship, we always take photos of the glass in the crate before it is closed up. These photos are taken for record keeping and insurance purposes but in this case, we wanted to post the picture of the crated glass that is under discussion in this review, just so those reading can view it and make their own assessment to the quality and appearance.
Sincerely,
Meltdown Glass Art & Design

Meltdown Glass is by far the most professional and easy to work with company I have encountered in the architectural art glass world. There textures and wide scope of project types are what really appealed to us. The customer service experience was also very pleasant. Highly recommend!
