Throughout elementary school I would spend my summers sitting outside my art classroom painting. I always loved it but didn’t realize until recently how much I actually needed to paint. For years, I was content painting the walls of my house but recently something has drawn me back to painting on canvas. I have grown to realize that I needed to do something more creative and something I was passionate about. Painting allows me to express myself, while finding peace and tranquility in an otherwise hectic life, which includes raising three sons. As an artist, I like to incorporate light, color and motion into my paintings to create an emotional feeling and connection to everyday life. I am influenced by the chaos of life’s daily activities as well as the need to escape from them every once in awhile.

I recently met with Lisa and had the opportunity to look through her paintings. Each piece seemed to leap off the canvas. They're all so vibrant and moving and they really help to both brighten and liven up a room. Lisa's use of color is intriguing and I truly hope to hang one (or more) on the wall of my home one day. I just can't decide which pieces to buy!

I have been following Lisa Stretton's art work for a while. I live her flair for combining nature and abstract art. I was very excited to learn that she is selling products with her original artwork on Fine Art America. I ordered a tote bag with her My Happy Place design. It far exceeded my expectations. I take my tote bag everywhere. I highly recommend perusing her site.

Love these pieces- they fit so well in our home and they are so warm and elegant. We own two pieces and each is very unique.

Comentado: Artwork. Worth the splurge or not?Definitely worth investing in artwork! Artwork and accessories are just as important as furnishings in designing a room. It's like putting the icing on a cake.
