Juan Carter "El Gato"

Juan Carter whose artistic pseudonym is “El gato” is an artist-architect-illustrator originary from Chili, and is living more than 20 years in Europe, 2 years in Holland, 2 years in France, and the rest in Spain, Barcelona, where are his principal influences of his bizarre arts. In interiors works he use natural materials, sometimes recycling, a good mitxture of special woods, oxide metals, and strong colours with a sudamerican touch. He like to dream in his origine of pirate and indian from his probably ancestors, giving and exotic language at all of his decorations in houses, restaurants, bars and shops in Barcelona. He was working too in humour illustration in Chili 80's, finalist of many mascot contest, and his paints are in acrylic a combination of nature and architecture, that he use to call "genetic architecture" a view of a future world where the buildings are growing from the vegetals like in a Gaudi dream.
