XAMI Architecture & Design

I loved working with Bernard (project lead at Xami) to renovate my property. He took my pinboard and brief and absolutely elevated it to the next level. At first, I was blown away by the original designs and renders he did but then when the build started to take shape, I was even more in love with it all- it looked even better than the renders. Xami designed a home that is a Scandi, modern style that has warmth and a calm atmosphere. He was there to answer any questions at every stage, and was more than willing to collaborate to come to a final design. Working with Xami was by far the easiest and most enjoyable part of getting this renovation done.. The project consisted of full property renovation- new kitchen, living space, outdoor area, 2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms.

I could not be happier with XAMI! They helped me design my dream home, with their forward thinking and stylish approach to innovation. Bernard was really helpful and collaborative with the process, I truly felt listened to and I thought the price to be incredibly reasonable. It is a passionate team and kind and I definitely plan on using XAMI again.

We engaged Bernard in 2020 to help us realise a complete refurb of a 6 bedroom home in Ealing, West London. We chose him mainly for his designs, but were extremely impressed by his attention to detail, great eye for not just design, but also practical solutions. The build included, inter alia, a double height extension, entirely new floorplan on the ground floor digging into the ground floor to create impressive ceiling height (Bernard came up with this idea), new electrics/ heating and full refurbishment. Bernard helped us with the full plans, the planning application process, selection of the building firm, interior design/ joinery drawings and even some of our furniture picking- amazing all-round service which ensured our vision truly came alive over the build. He was a pleasure to deal with and managed the building firm well, ensuing he only signed off on completed work and checked work diligently to ensure high quality standards throughout. We highly recommend Bernard and would work with him again!

The best way to describe how good the work that Xami did is that 2 years on we're still having customers at our restaurant asking about who did the interiors and the art work. They love it. So thank you to the team at Xami for turning our design brief into a warm reality that enables us to create a truly immersive dining experience!

Bernard did the plans for our renovation of a four bedroom Victorian terrraced house. He very diligently researched and incorporated the features we were interested in adding to the house, including a blend of modern ones, to make the space open and functional.

Bernard drew up the plans for our two-bed flat gut renovation and did an excellent job, particularly with configuring a full bathroom and shower room from the previous 1.5 bathrooms. We followed his plan to the T and are very pleased with the results as the bathrooms are perfectly functional and use the available space in the best possible way. The rest of the space was also well planned and it was especially exciting to add a utility room and create an open plan kitchen/dining/living with excellent proportions. The renderings were especially impressive and actually quite helpful to visualise the end result and make decisions on things like paint colours and floor materials. Bernard was professional and very responsive throughout, we would certainly work with him again and recommend his work to anyone.

We used Bernard for the redesign of a residential dwelling in Notting Hill. He was extremely professional in his approach and dealt with the client in a pleasing and confident way. His vision, design skills and technical ability really shone throughout the project, which was delivered on time and on budget! We thoroughly recommend using Xami for all architectural design requirements!

Bernard worked on the architectural plans for our maisonette extension & renovation in Maida Vale. We were delighted with the attention to detail, responsiveness and experience that Bernard was able to bring to the project. XAMI worked with us on plans for the refurbishment of our Notting Hill house. There were a few really important decisions we had to make. For the living/dining/kitchen area, XAMI provided 3 concept drawings that enabled us to see perfectly which route to take. We also had a lot of bespoke joinery which XAMI detailed beautifully, the end result of which was exactly as we imagined. Tweaks, based on additions and changes we wanted to make, were made promptly and efficiently. I would happily recommend them.

We originally engaged Bernard for helping is with planning and organising the space in our new apartment, but we were so impressed with his work that have offered him the whole project, including concept, developed, technical design + supervision of construction works. He is a very organized person, ready to answer you 24/7. Whenever we needed alternative solution or material, his responses were very quick and straight to the point. He's got plenty of options for interior details, especially for scandinavian styled apartments. When it came to construction supervision, I think it was a joint effort, where we both equally contributed to observing the quality of construction. We highly recommend working with Bernard, if you are interested in timely response and feedback, 24/7 support and modern, slick and very functional design.

Bernard led the spec of our full Clapham house and design of the key rooms, including master bedroom, en suite and kitchen. We started with a fairly clear idea of what we wanted, and Bernard worked with these requirements but also added some great, unexpected suggestions. He was reasonable in our requests for design and visualisation tweaks and was always quick at replying to follow-up questions around tile and light sources, paint colours, etc. I’d highly recommend Bernard for a straight forward and thorough design process.
