Debra did an amazing job on our house renovation. We have a 1920s Dutch colonial and she made the addition look like it was part of the original home. Many people were stumped by all of the roof lines but she made it work. All of the neighbors love how nicely it came together. Debra was wonderful to work with as well. She was very professional.

Debra has been great to work with on our basement remodeling project. She is creative and knowledgeable. We feel like she really listened to our requests and converted them into a plan. Additionally, she has been exceptionally patient with a couple of newbies who didn’t always know what they wanted.

We had an excellent experience with Debra and Wendling Designs. I would highly recommend Wendling Designs to friends and family, without any hesitation. Debra is a really great listener who listens to her clients and doesn't take the project in her own direction. We worked with other architects who didn't listen to our wants and needs and ran with their own ideas. We had Debra draw plans for a second story addition and exterior remodel/facelift. Debra listened to exactly what we wanted and put it down on paper. We showed her a picture of how we would like to transform the exterior of our home cape cod and she was able to come up with designs and a plan on how to transform our house. Her ability to listen and give us exactly what we wanted cannot be understated. We consulted with other architects for our project and even during the preliminary walk through of our house, they were unable to restrain their "wants" and "wishes" for our house. Debra did not impose her own vision onto our project and budget, but listened to our vision and needs, while also helping us navigate good choices within our project. Debra was extremely knowledgeable about our town's building code and the and how we would be able to work within the confines of the building code to achieve the look we were going for. Debra is very responsive and a good communicator. She was able to refer us to other professionals to help with our project. We also thought that Debra's fees were very fair and reasonable.

She designed and addition on our garage and we were pleased that she was reliable, always arrived on time, for any meetings, easy to reach if we had questions and always willing to discuss any concerns. Our project was a complete 2nd floor addition to our existing one story house. This addition (almost) doubled our living square footage. We contacted Debra early in 2018 based on the experience that our neighbor had when she handled the architectural phase of their 2nd story addition. The design and approval process took us into the summer of 2018 as several unanticipated building code requirements surfaced. One issue in particular concerning a sprinkler system requirement caused us to re-consider the original design. Debra expeditiously handled the design corrections, and added some additional touches that made the new design better than the original. Her advise also contributed greatly to our plan for upgrading the HVAC service in the house. The finished product greatly enhanced the livability and appearance of the house. Everyone who has seen the work raved about it. Debra was responsive to our needs and wishes throughout the process, especially as the inevitable surprises surfaced.

Debra was a joy to work with on our house remodel. We gave her a lengthy wishlist and she incorporated ALL elements into the design and gave us a fresh perspective on things we did not envision ourselves. Debra designed a custom detached garage for us. She was thorough and detailed throughout the process and answered all of our questions along the way from design through build. She took our initial thoughts and ideas into account and had great ideas of her own. We found her to be very accommodating and easy to work with and very reasonable in price as well! I'm a landscape designer and I hired Debbie of Wendling Design to take my sketches for hardscape and for the pergola and turn them into architectural drawings. We worked with Debra to design a three-season room on our 50 year-old house. We selected her because when we made numerous phone calls to discuss our project with architects, she was the first one to respond and was timely in all of her communications with us. She visited the site numerous times and worked directly with city personnel to follow the very strict regulations in our city. She developed plans that met our specifications, expectations for building permits and the needs of our contractor. She was absolutely outstanding to work with for our project. Our only regret is that we do not believe we will have any other projects that will require her expertise. She is fabulous!!!!!
