I purchased a house built in 1928 in the historic district of Oak Park, Illinois, which needed renovation. Sevan was able to restore a number of important architectural details both in the interior and exterior of the house, as well as revive the authentic colors of that period. She is detail-oriented and meticulous with superb knowledge and talent in satisfying the client’s taste. Additionally, she created a beautiful landscape around the house with the addition of a pergola and other features. The quality of her work is unsurpassed!

We hired Tek Design for a major residential remodeling project (and we've used Tek Design for updates and commercial design) including conversion of a horse barn to a multi-use structure. Sevan Tekian at Tek Design Inc. is an undiscovered talent in the world of design. Over the years she has created stunning end results for our family. It truly is a dream to be working with her. I do not know how I would have handled the projects if we would not have found her years ago. This is the third project with Tek Design Inc. which included a large interior architecture renovation and design of a penthouse. She is a master at translating the wishes of the client and guiding us thru the process, so overall design and detailing works cohesively. Her meticulous rendering of the concept and understanding client’s life style regarding interiors and design style are interpreted amazingly. Her professionalism and being receptive to suggestions from others during the project and then translating them to the most creative, functional, contemporary design without interfering with iconic artwork is a major skill. . Sevan Tekian has a keen eye to design and especially detailing. Her management style is very respectful towards others. She has always made sure that all workmanship is done to perfection and fitted perfectly. Projects run smoothly, always with much attention to budgetary requirements. There are always full sets of detailed drawings as no detail is ever overlooked. Creating a home and an interior is a balancing act of many factors; she has achieved the nuances, listens well and conducts seamlessly and always meet's the client's deadline. We were referred to Sevan Tekian by a project manager in high end residential construction. Sevan designed a major addition to our colonial home, including all interior architecture. She made sure that all aspects of the design were very well coordinated, from materials, finishes, and furnishings to architectural detailing. Sevan designed custom cabinets and built-ins throughout the house for bathrooms, kitchen, dressing rooms, library, sitting room, and added custom designed crown mouldings to suit the style. She met with us repeatedly to fine tune our ideas while providing her invaluable expertise, insight and talent. Her commitment to ensure our satisfaction and her knowledge of construction is comforting. Her patience to help find the right balance in colors is extraordinary. Through the years we have continued to add additional built-ins and finalize interior design work to other parts of the house. Tek Design's work is timeless and elegant. Our interior architecture is an interpretation of classical architecture. She has supervised construction from beginning to end and has made sure that the process is continuous without any delays.
