Ryan was great to work with. As an architectural photographer, I get the chance to see a lot of different homes, and his work is far superior to the run of the mill architects. His homes are both beautifully designed (taking inspiration from Frank Loyd Wright) and very livable, each tailored to meet the needs of the homeowner.

My husband and I had planned to adopt for years but we were up to four children in a 700 square foot house. The first thing we needed was a new place to live. Finding a home that would accommodate as many children as we expected to have one day was very difficult within our price range. We hired Ryan to design something for us that would fit a very long list of specific needs and also fit within a budget. Not only did he meet every request we made but the house is stunningly beautiful. Within a few weeks of moving in we were able to start the adoption process and now we have five amazing children and someday there will be even more! The house is gorgeous and living in it is exactly how we dreamed it would be. We are so grateful to him for helping us with the next stage of our life!

I have found Ryan to be an exceptional Architect to work with. He has great vision and skills that help him capture the essence of what each of his clients want then turns it into a great design that we can build an exceptional home. One of Ryan's many talents is his ability to work not only with his clients but with the General Contractor building his vision. He is extrememly flexible and willing to explore alternative options, not simply demand his own be implemented. This flexibility allows the builder to work with Ryan on issues that could be difficult to implement without changing any part of the original design or scope. He works with the GC and his clients every step of the way and is always readily available to assist in the field during the construction of his vision whenever called upon. His designs are unique, open and spacious and fully functional. His plans take you outside of your routine build, but gives you the opportunity to explore new ways to do things that can take you to levels you never thought you could go. Ryan was very responsive to our concerns and needs throughout the entire process of building our home. From inception to completion he was willing to help our builder work through unexpected challenges with our lot. Our builder was excellent but had not constructed a modern style home before. Ryan was patient with him and us and helped us make good choices re exterior and interior textures and materials. We were certainly not on the higher end (price) compared to some of Ryan's other projects; however we never felt that he viewed our project as any less important than his million dollar projects. I would recommend him without reservation to anyone building a home or commercial building. You will be glad you hired him.

Ryan is an incredible partner who can design your home to function for YOU and your family with an amazing simple beauty. As a single mother building a home, I needed a person I could trust and who could guide me in this design process to create a sustainable, legacy house. We could not be more pleased! Ryan Thewes is a talented architect and expert draftsman. His creative style, and interest in organic architecture (particularly that of Frank Lloyd Wright), made him the perfect choice for my wife and I when we needed help designing & planning an addition project for our mid-century modern home. From our initial one on one meetings, to email exchanges hammering out all the details, Ryan's knowledge and experience have been invaluable. He's got a great work ethic and is generous with his time. When completed, our addition is easily going meet our bullet list of wishes for the project. And, of course, it's going to look very cool!
