John established O’Keeffe Architects over 20 years ago to allow clients a real option in securing concept based Architecture of the highest quality design, with the help and skills of an experienced and dedicated design team. He is an elected Fellow of the RIAI and a Grade 3 conservation architect. Most all of his commissions come from "word of mouth" referrals. In the current climate it is at the forefront of our design thinking to prioritise cost effectiveness. Not only in the initial construction cost but throughout the lifecycle of the development through the adoption of viable sustainable energy technologies.The driving force of our project success is our commitment to quality in design. We work closely with our client in order to create a concept which fulfils their needs. Our practice encourages clients to build in an environmentally conscious fashion, and has a long track record in the development of solar and energy efficient buildings. We constantly strive to achieve the best aesthetic value for our buildings without comprising the functionality of the client brief.

The renovation of our home was a success ,thanks to John O,Keeffe’s professionalism and commitment to the project. He listened to us, his clients, and demonstrated a great interest in our ideas, guiding us through each step. We now have a very well insulated house filled with light and additional space, which really works. The changes were achieved within the time framework and importantly our budget. We got the ‘WOW’factor right, judging by our guests’ reactions.

“John designed the remodelling of our home in South Dublin to cater for our changed family needs, we needed a wheelchair friendly family home. This involved significant change to the internal layout of the rooms, especially bathrooms and kitchen and the installation of a lift. John listened to us right from the start, taking most of the stress out of the whole building process. He completely fulfilled the brief giving us excellent design and support throughout. Delighted to have engaged O'Keeffe architects in developing our 1870's terraced house into the much admired home that we have today. They have worked us with each time we found money to do the next phase as we have grown with the house. O'keeffe Architects are a friendly and creatively motivated architectural practice. Their work is of an excellent standard which stands out as being quite unique. Each and every project that I have photographed for them as an architectural photographer has a distinctive flare that lends to the vital ingredient to produce quality images that further reinforce their design skills. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to a homeowner .
