Nancy Berghold has been a pleasure to work with over the past few months. Nancy helped me design and redo our family home in Redwood City, CA. While working with Nancy, the process has been very seamless and smooth. She has been incredibly helping in understanding my needs and visions. Nancy is always willing to listen as well as inform me of any pros or cons based off the ideas I have. I would highly recommend Nancy if you are looking for a reliable, trustworthy, creative, and honest woman. Might I also add, Nancy runs were own small woman owned business!

Nancy was very easy to work with, and had great ideas to improve our front yard. She was very passionate about her work, and very excited to see it come to fruition. She designed several options to choose from which included our personal requests, provided guidance in choosing plants, connected us with a comprehensive landscaping contractor, took care of tasks such as choosing rocks, and was hands on managing the project for us. Our yard looks great and we been getting lots of compliments from the neighbors!

Nancy is a true professional and skilled designer. We worked with her in November 2020 on a room addition which turned out beautiful. We learned through the process that Nancy has great knowledge of building codes and the ability to design spaces that are both functional and beautiful while keeping the budget in mind. She is very resourceful and knows where to go for the best products for her clients. She truly listens to her clients and delivers on their requests. We have now decided to work with Nancy on a much larger project. We interviewed several contractors who have worked closely with her and they all rate her highly in terms of design and ease of working with her to complete a project. Getting through a large construction project is stressful but we feel confident that it will go smoothly with Nancy at Studio Berghold.

We worked closely with Nancy on our remodel & ADU addition from beginning to end. Our home was originally built in 1941 and had original structure and features and the previous owners made additions without considering aesthetics. This project seemed like it would be a big challenge to us, but not to Nancy. I remember the first day we met in our small dining room/kitchen. My husband and I were comfortable with her immediately because she took the time to listen to our needs and our wish list. We started with a design concept that took us to her final architectural design. She prepared all documents needed for construction and she even managed and administered her own project. She orchestrated everything, consultants, contractor, city jurisdictions and sub-contractors and was always available to me by phone, text or email whenever I needed her help, advise or support. It was helpful at times that she is bi-lingual. Choosing materials and finishes was a bigger challenge than we anticipated. She facilitated this task and we are very grateful for that. Nancy was great to work with, had wonderful ideas for our space. From our first meeting we felt very comfortable talking to her about what we wanted and she listened and incorporated her ideas and the final result was amazing, way more than we ever dreamed of, we could not be happier.

Nancy was a great partner to work with on our complete redesign of our front yard. She listened to our wants- CA native and low water - and came back with a few design options incorporating our top asks. Along with full plans, we received a detailed plant list with images, water/soil needs and descriptions. It was really useful when we were deciding on the final design! Nancy also knows the right players in the game and can connect you with contractors for your unique needs. She also volunteered to stop by on planting day to make sure the layout was exact.
