Morrison Design LLC

Morrison Design, LLC is an architectural design and historic preservation consulting firm. I am passionate about historic buildings. Since childhood, I have loved the connection to the past, and to eras long gone. I love pulling that history out and connecting it to the present. I love designing sensitive additions and attic build-outs. My additions are always inspired by the existing home - be it a Victorian or a bungalow or a ranch. Attics can be so charming, and present so many opportunities for fun nooks and niches. I am particularly fascinated by historic accessory dwelling units (aka tiny houses). Atlanta's neighborhoods were once dotted with small outbuildings that provided housing options. Most of these have been demolished, though remnants often remain. I believe these remaining buildings are little treasures that show us how the City can develop to support more flexible housing alternatives. This passion is evident in my work. My company has earned a reputation for quality work and has received numerous awards and honors recognizing its skill in design, research, planning and preservation. My company diverse portfolio of work includes historic rehabilitation, historically inspired new construction in historic neighborhoods, building assessments and reports and neighborhood design guidelines.
