I was brought in to assist with the photography of the Saratoga Rolling Hills Estate. My time around Louie Leu was very brief, but in that short time I found him to be incredibly polite and highly professional. The best part was he allowed my boss (Frank P. Perez) to work without any interference. This allowed Frank to take some amazing photographs that are being showcased on both his website and on Houzz.com. With that said, I was most impressed with Mr. Leu's design of the estate itself. It's the most indelible home I've had the privilege of ever setting foot in.
The layout is fluid and pays attention to how the family lives, placing high-traffic areas on one side of the home but still providing seclusion for the areas of rest. The house is large but not vacuous in any sense. Every room felt to be the right size and properly furnished.
On the main level, down the main hall is a second foyer of sorts that leads into the area housing the children's rooms. It's close enough to the master suite providing privacy when desired or required, but still allows the parents to remain close to their kids. The location also allows the kids to be kids without disrupting the tranquility afforded to the rest of the home.
The wine cellar was of special note; a delightful surprise located on the lower level that greets the senses with a visual ovation of stainless steel, wood, stone and glass. The staircase that delivers you between levels is spacious and solidly built. Its well crafted and solid under footing. I preferred using it over the elevator system it wraps.
There's so much more to tell about this house, but I'll end it with saying that Louie Leu did an amazing job designing this home. I only wish I could visit the other places he's designed.

I so appreciated him.

Comentado: What is the mfg of the recessed lighting ?The fixtures are IRIS brand, but there are many other manufacturers that make fixtures with square trims. It all depends on the type of light that is required for the space and the desired appearance.
