LineSync Architecture & Planning

LineSync Architecture and Planning is a holistic design studio with a diversified team of skillful designers, who offer a variety of talents. Since our founding in 1988, we have consistently garnered acclaim for highly creative and sustainable solutions, both at home and abroad. Our energy efficient studio is a model of green design, as well as one of the first buildings in Vermont to be constructed with Insulated Concrete Forms. An annual stop on the National Solar Tour, sponsored by the Northeast Sustainable Energy Association (NESEA), the studio was also an AIA Vermont Merit Award winner for design. The three-story LineSync Architecture studio serves as our laboratory for innovation. Our impressive building is only part of the story. Our clients consistently remark upon our talented and diverse staff. Our team approach, which encourages client input, surpasses the conventional approach of submitting drawings to clients for review. Instead, we have developed a special process around a worktable we call the Rasa Table, which fosters interactive and collaborative brainstorming of solutions between the design team and the client. Sketches done at the Rasa Table encourage a greater diversity of options and build consensus around design decisions. Thus, we emulate the organic process that has taken place to create good ideas throughout history. At the Rasa Table, we reduce an iterative process that often takes weeks, if not months, to a matter of hours. We also work with 3D software so that the building can be understood in context. We believe that client and community involvement during the design process enhances both our work and client satisfaction.
