The project began when Five Diamond Homes purchased the property and selected Kyle Jensen Architect to design the home's new interior and roofing and including a dilapidated cinder block workshop shed in the back yard. Kyle modified the house from 3BR 1B to 2BR 2B and moved the kitchen to face a window toward the street. His plans were reviewed for the house and a building permit was issued in October. The plan for the shed was approved and the permit issued in November.. Kyle has designed the interior of the bathrooms and kitchen. The first cement pour raised the family room floor to the level of the house and prepared the front and back porches. All the windows have been sized, and in several cases moved to suit the new design. Kyle is responsible for selecting contractors and verifying performance. Because of the experience he has garnered the contractors are first rate and fully licensed except for demolition labor which he used to give a young man an opportunity to start a business. We are pleased with the design, the quality of work and schedule, especially since the project is 100% reconstruction except for exterior walls that were saved and suitable to be re-barred and concrete poured to be brought up to code. Kyle is working hard to make sure the project is completed within budget and schedule. We anticipate completion in late December or early January when we will buy the home from Five Diamond Homes and move in.

Brilliant ideas. Great concepts and good follow up on the job. Structurally knowledgeable. He has a lot of original ideas that can help create your building more practical and more interesting. Can work within a budget and supervise the job to make sure it is not going over.

Working in the mechanical architectural design area of construction I have had the pleasure and honor to work with Kyle Jensen on several projects. Kyle has a very keen eye for detail and knows the importance of ergonomic design and esthetic appearance. While having experience in multiple design concepts he is open to ideas of what an individual or business envisions already and expounding on that theme.
