Kent & Kent is an award-winning Residential Design firm, which has operated in Houston since 1980. In addition to designing homes for new construction and remodeling on urban home sites, Kent & Kent has extensive experience in designing beach homes, lake homes, golf course homes, and country homes. Kent & Kent, Inc. is owned by the husband and wife team of Alan and Donna Kent. Donna graduated with a degree in Marketing from Texas A&M in 1979. Alan received a Bachelor's of Industrial Arts degree with a major in Architectural Design and Drafting from Sam Houston State University in 1971. While teaching at Texas A&M, he earned a Masters of Industrial Education degree with a major in Engineering Design Graphics in 1976.

Kent & Kent did an exceptional job. Alan Kent was thorough, professional and took my vision to create our dream home. We took my childhood home and without interupting the original look and floor plan, we kept the look and also wanted to keep with the integrity of our neighborhood as well. So very impressed with Alan and his staff. We found him through word-of-mouth from friends of ours and couldn't be happier. He sat with me and made sure everything was exactly how we wanted it before the building began, and also added some final details for us at the end. HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommended. He helped and suggested ideas I never would have thought of for our remodel in 2016.

Kent and Kent did a fantastic job for us. After helping us work through the decision to remodel/add on or rebuild (we chose to rebuild), Alan worked with us to come up with a plan that met our needs and wants yet complied with the HOA restrictions. Alan was great to work with, had valuable suggestions, and was very accommodating when we had questions and changes. We've been in our new home a little more than a year and couldn't be happier with it. We would definitely use Kent and Kent again and have recommended them to friends. As a result they designed a remodel down the street that is currently under construction.

They went out of their way to help me through their process and also help me greatly in many other areas which were not their responsibility. They were always on schedule or ahead of schedule and made themselves available for any question I could ask them. They consistently went the extra mile to get things done. I have used Kent & Kent on several outdoor living and homebuilding projects in the Houston area. As one of the largest outdoor living builders in the area (Texas Custom Patios), Allan has helped us out several times on projects that are very complex. Many of the projects on my site were assisted by Allan's design ideas. Can't say enough about the level of expertise and patience K&K brings to the table. I highly recommend them to anyone interested in bringing on a highly professional and experienced hands-on design firm.
