My wife and I are very interested in architecture and have studied architecture as members of the Rice Design Alliance (RDA), affiliated with the School of Architecture at Rice University. We have studied architecture with RDA and taken many trips over the past numbers of years with this group. In 2012, my wife and I purchased a wonderful lot on Lake Travis to build our dream home; we know many exceptional architects in Houston. However, we needed an exceptional Austin architect inasmuch as Austin is a much more challenging environment to build a home than the Texas Gulf Coast where regulation is much less stringent and the land is easy to prep for building a house. Katheryn attended the University of Texas and graduated with honors from the School of Architecture while also swimming for the lady longhorns; no simple accomplishment. Katheryn knows many very competent builders and matched us with a custom home builder that she thought we would bond and relate to. Katheryn is extremely professional and competent. She listens very carefully to her clients and strives very hard to make sure they will get the home they have worked so hard for. She is very patient and intelligent and has been very good at guiding us through the process of designing our dream home. Katheryn has made the whole process of building our home an exciting and enjoyable process. When we have tough decisions to make, concerning our home, we know Katheryn will help us make the decision that is right for us and for the architectural integrity of our home.
