Jordan is very knowledgeable about passive houses, and we have relied on his expertise and experience in our gut renovation of a three story Landmarked townhouse in Park Slope. His style is definitely more modern, and it contrasted well with the exterior of the home. We are about 1.5 months away from the major completion date and look forward to finally moving in to our new place. Marijke has also been very helpful, detail oriented and organized. She also has good ideas and managed hiccups along construction well with some forward-thinking. The contractor, Mike Dika at Supreme Contracting, has worked with Jordan before and they have a good working relationship, which helps with the day-to-days during construction. We did have a long permitting process before breaking ground (9 months), however. But a lot of that hold up can be attributed to filing the wrong application initially and follow-ups from the BOD and Landmarks.

JPDA team designed our wonderful duplex in Manhattan. The complexity of this project and difficulty to obtain permits were overcome by Jordan and his team who were very thorough during this processs. We gladly reccomend JPDA who did a fantastic job creating a perfect home for our family.

Jordan and his team are terrific! They led the renovation of our Brooklyn Townhouse which was structurally sound but In desperate need of modernizing. They took us through the project from the initial envisioning of where and how we could open up small spaces, bring in new light and create a clean, cool feel. The process went super smooth. The team listened to our likes and dislikes, discussed concepts with us and then would present options. For two very busy people, they made the whole process fun and engaging and stayed on top of every detail to ensure we stayed on budget and got exactly what we wanted.

We are working with JDPA — the principal and the senior designer — on a 100% gut renovation of a 100-year old townhouse. We've completed the design development stage, and we've been very happy with their expertise and attention to detail.

i hired JPDA to design and project manage a complete apt renovation for me. this included picking finishes, fixtures and equipment/furniture. They ended up creating an AIA award winning design and my apt has been listed in the blogs as the Best East Village (NYC) apt ever. Highlights of working with JPDA: - they really listened to my needs and desires for my home. - they proposed super insightful solutions in response to my goals. - they proactively offered green/sustainable choices whenever possible. - they went above and beyond in taking care of me and delivering a really exciting place that i now never want to leave! Living in Sydney Australia, and having purchased a small studio apartment in Battery Park, I set about searching for an architect in New York capable of turning this space into something spectacular. After researching, I selected Jordan Parnass, based on his ingenuity with small spaces. I wanted my apartment to feel like a home and not a hotel room. I wanted a separate sleeping area, with storage, and a good work space. Jordan was a delight to deal with. He created a number of scenarios, all so brilliant that it was hard for me to choose a final design. Jordan paid attention to everything I needed. With a design selected, and being so far away, I relied on Jordan for the project management of the construction of a loft bed, storage, and office. The result, an excellent home away from home, was achieved through Jordan's total professionalism and respect for my requests. Time frames were tight, and needed to coincide with my fleeting visits to New York and Jordan was able to meet them. I would highly recommend Jordan Parnass to anyone looking for an excellent architect who listens to their client's needs and creates a masterpiece, completed to perfection.
