We worked with Gavin at Jeffcoate Architects who designed an amazing steading conversion. Project completed in July 23 - Gavin was attentive and always contactable - I would thoroughly recommend him and his team.

Gavin and his team were patient and understanding with us as first-time renovators, explaining all the necessary steps, and advising why some measures would provide better long-term value for our property compared to others. The team were also very helpful in terms of providing us with the required documentation and advice for processes such as obtaining building warrant, while at the same time keeping our budget in mind.

This was a full renovation of a 3 bedrooms flat, including removing the underfloor, soundproofing the floor, knocking down two walls, rewiring entirely, adding an ensuite, redesigning 1 kitchen, 1 bathroom, plumbing, redecoration, Gavin was great at the design stage, coming with ideas I would not have had, and suggesting different floorplans accommodating for different budgets. Tom, the project architect, was in charge of monitoring the work and taking care of the features. I command Jefcoate Anderson Architects for the smooth communication, in particular as soon as the project started. Communication was less fluid at the beginning, after we submitted the planning application, which may be due to the pandemic. Tom was excellent in taking care of the building work and making sure all was done according to the plans and the expected standards. Without his careful monitoring, the workers would have done mistakes difficult to fix, or successfully changed the agreed specifications for cheaper options. To be honest there were hiccups and stressful moments. When these happened, Gavin and Tom were always available to reassure me and ensure that everything ran smoothly. I am now very happy with the final result, which I know would have been inmpossible to achieve without the creativity and professionalism of Jefcoate Anderson Architects.

Gavin and his team have been brilliant with our West Linton Pharmacy redesign and refit. Working in tandem with Anderson retail design and David James Shopfitters, transformed a 1960s retail pharmacy into a bright , welcoming, professional , multi functional pharmacy space we have today. No easy task in a conservation area, and needing to remain open for business throughout, the teams architectural guidance and patience helped us ensure continuity of service for our loyal customers . Jefcoate Anderson knew our building as they worked with the developers we bought from, so they were our first point of contact when we wanted to do some further work. It wasn't a huge project but they were still super attentive and steered us through the various considerations and quite wonderfully managed all the planning / listed building consent admin! We retained Jefcoate Anderson to design a renovation and extension to an existing traditional building on the west coast of Scotland and to oversee the build. They were excellent. They listened to what we wanted then came up with a creative and innovative solution that fulfilled our brief in full, blending a traditional renovated building with a contrasting modern extension using unusual materials. The resulting house is eco-efficient, maximises the stunning views, sits well in the landscape and is a joy to live in. They worked closely with the builders, resolving the problems that arise with a complicated build when marrying old with new. Would unhesitatingly recommend them.

We employed Jefcoate Anderson Architects Ltd to design an extension to a 2 bedroom bungalow that would incorporate a loft conversion also. We used Gavin Jefcoate to design our new kitchen extension and complete remodel of the downstairs of our home. It's nearly 3 years since work started and we are still as pleased with the results as we were when it was first completed. The initial meetings quickly demonstrated that Gavin understood our brief of what we wanted and why we needed it. The resulting plan was a really exciting change for the house with bold creative elements which also integrated the practical solutions that at the time we were desperate for.
