Guy Taylor Associates, Founded in 1969, is an award winning, innovative and forward thinking design studio with offices in Manchester, Newark and Derby. We offer an exceptional body of knowledge and expertise that embraces every aspect of a buildings design, construction, interior, performance and preservation. There is no house style, every project is unique and responds to the brief, client aspirations and site context. We will visit you for your home design consultation. We present proposals in the form of 2D & 3D images or a digital walk through if you prefer. Guy Taylor Associates have provided an excellent service in assisting us with the design and planning of our school bungalow conversion. They assisted us with everything from design planning, to tendering, to project management and everything in between! Throughout the whole process they have provided us with expert advice and acted with professionalism at all times. They are a reliable, trustworthy company and I would wholly recommend them. Guy Taylor Associates assisted us with our office expansion which was effectively a blank, empty space requiring full design and specifications from the ground up. After a full briefing, Guy Taylor Associates came up with great ideas and plans to create a practical and viable workspace for our business. Chris was always available when we needed him and kept a close eye on the builder in terms of budgets and deadlines which was really reassuring. He listened to our requirements and was flexible and found solutions when we hit problems. He also recommend a great interiors company (Living 365) to help us with the lighting, furniture and finishes. We are really happy with the end result. I would recommend Guy Taylor for your architectural needs.

We have worked with Chris Rodgers at Guy Taylor Associates on both client and personal projects for over 5 years. Both his flair for design and service are to be commended and we always receive fantastic feedback from projects he has been involved in. Chris carefully balances aesthetics and build-ability. As Sustainability consultants, we have worked on a number of highly technical projects together (Passive House Plus, Passive House Premium, Paragraph 55 etc) and it has been hugely valuable for us to have a partner that truly grasps the building physics necessary to produce high performance buildings.

Chris Rodgers and the team at Guy Taylor have delivered a home for us that goes way beyond expectations on every level. Not only did they step in to rescue our project when another firm had let us down. They dedicated their time and passion to creating a new scheme that would enable us to transform an ugly, dated property into something that innovates in terms of aesthetic, flow, budget both inside and out. I can't recommend this team highly enough. My pictures don't do the finished result justice and construction of our decked area is still in progress but you can get a sense of the before and after!

Guy Taylor Associates were tasked with designing a new build, contemporary, eco family home in the countryside... Guy Taylor Associates... What a find... Having been badly let down by a previous architect (who created an unaffordable house design), we were recommended Guy Taylor Associates by a friend. Desperate to start again and create the family home we had dreamed of, we embarked on a journey with Chris and his team from Guy Taylor Associates. And they have provided an exceptional service to date. They have translated our requirements into the most brilliant design and one we feel so incredibly lucky to have. Always careful to listen to our thoughts, Chris has used his exceptional design skills and far exceeded our expectations. Very professional, creative, budget focussed and reassuringly calm under pressure, he has been a joy to work with. And very recently Guy Taylor Associates have managed to secure approval for our complex Green Belt planning application which took a considerable amount of work and dedication to achieve. Unashamedly proud of their design, we can't wait to see the end result as building will hopefully commence and finish next year. Guy Taylor Associates have our strongest recommendation and we would be more than willing to talk about our experience with Chris and Guy Taylor Associates to those seeking an architect's practice.

Ours was not a straight forward brief and we are fussy customers. We set a high standard with many constraints but Guy Taylor have been a pleasure to deal with. They take our demands as challenges and come up with innovative and creative solutions. The house isn't built yet but we can't wait to see it for real.

We undertook a massive extension and renovation project of a 1911 arts and crafts house. We were keen to incorporate eco-design elements and we were referred to Chris Rogers and GTA by our environmental consultant. From our first meeting to completion of the project Chris went above and beyond. Always coming up with good ideas that fitted our specifications. Always quick to suggest sensible solutions to problems as they arose. Always available and an invaluable point of contact between us and the contractors on site. He took us through design and planning permission, tendering, refining the scope of the works and finalising the contract with the main contractor, the build itself, snagging...everything! Our build was between July 2016 and April 2017 and I don't think we would have managed it without Chris on the team. We have no hesitation at all in recommending Chris for projects big and small (and in fact have already recommended him to friends embarking on their own projects).
