I work as a Structural Engineer and have known Gisela for nearly 10 years and worked with her in a professional capacity for the last two. She is a consummate professional and always a pleasure to work with in no small part because she communicates clearly, provides constructive criticism, and sets clear deadlines. It also helps that Gisela is an excellent designer and her projects are typically the most interesting we have in the office. We often find ourselves gladly working overtime on Gisela's jobs -- carefully drawing details to match the design intent -- because we know that she is probably working even harder on her end. She is a tireless advocate for her clients' interests and her passion for the practice of Architecture is infectious. I would recommend Gisela to anyone I know looking for good design and a well executed project.

Gisela handled architectural design and permits for a kitchen/bedroom remodel in my 2 bedroom condo. She was very through and used a combination of drawings, 3D and sketches to effectively communicate design intent and walk me through rationale for solutions/changes. She also identified contractors and helped to manage the bid process to ensure that I was able to select a quality contractor at a reasonable price. The end result was fantastic with custom design details that matched my style and creative use of space to improve the flow of the rooms.

We have been working with Gisela for over a year on our house remodeling. We just finished upstairs remodeling and the result is simply amazing. She is professional, responsive and responsible. She encountered several very challenging issues with our 1926 house but she didn't give up and managed to come up with a brilliant plan. We have seen several remodeling jobs in our neighbors' houses with similar layout , we are so glad we have Gisela as our architect since her design made most efficient use of the space while keeping all original details and charm. We can't be happier and can't wait to finish the downstiars remodeling with her.

Gisela Schmoll is my top pick when I need a modern architect for my interior design projects. I even hired her for my own home remodel that included adding on a third level, re-doing the foundation to extend the ceiling height on the first floor, and making room for an elevator. It’s obvious that Gisela enjoys working collaboratively. She listens to the clients’ needs, takes in everybody’s opinions and ideas, and then comes up with creative solutions for each unique situation. During our latest collaboration, for example, she came up with an unusual and beautiful ceiling shape that gave the client an extra foot and a half in ceiling height! It also shows how detail-oriented Gisela is. She knows how to design a modern building that is aesthetically pleasing, as well as functional. Whether with the building department or the general contractor, Gisela advocates for her client’s interest, and is extremely well organized. You always know what the next step will be, and when it is going to happen. I’d recommend Gisela Schmoll to anyone embarking on a remodel, or building a new home.
