Forte Architetti

Forte Architetti is an architectural firm active in the international arena, whose goal is to create places to live and experience that move within the cultural context in which they blend. The multidisciplinary team consists of experienced professionals in architecture, landscape, engineering, thus providing a group that works in collaboration with artists, designers, technicians and customers to create a fluid, dynamic and functional architecture. The old core of Forte Architetti is present in the scene of Catania since 2004 as part of Zero Architetti whose work ranged from urban design to the landscape, from interior design to retail. The practice has distinguished by awards and honourable mentions in design contests, workshops and for the important presence on the national and foreign press. In 2006 Zero Architetti won first prize at the European Design Competition "Piazze Botaniche - recupero di cinque piazze a Catania " with the proposal for Piazza San Leone and the third and fourth place with projects for Piazza Montessori and Spirito Santo. In 2012, the practice has been selected for the event "Meeting of contemporary architecture" sponsored by GIARCH and IN / ARCH within the 13th International Architecture Exhibition of the Venice Biennale. In 2013 Forte Architetti was founded; it combines architectural practice, research and experimentation. The experience accumulated over ten years of presence in the area and previous relevant experience at prestigious international practices has enabled us to develop strong management skills for complex projects, but also interest and sensitivity towards the needs of small architectural realities. Forte Architetti is engaged in various international contexts, the United Arab Emirates, in Mozambique and in South Africa, with residential, commercial and hospitality projects. The practice is constantly involved in numerous projects in the Sicilian area that is and remains the context of preferential expression.
