Seattle Area's Finest Architectural Firm
Finch Design & Production is a small architecture firm lead by Andrew Finch, AIA, specializing in residential and small commercial design. I have a passion for working with form, proportion, materials and light. With a foundation in woodworking and ceramics and experience in construction, I work to meet practical needs with an eye toward craft and beauty. I work closely with my clients to fully understand their needs and design to fit their lifestyle. I work to integrate a house with its site, and have worked with clients to complete landscape plans. I envision a rhythm to spaces that flows logically and lyrically so the spaces are well organized and easy to comprehend. While primarily working within a modern style, I have also completed a number of traditional houses and remodels.

Andrew is the best. He is personable, hard working, great designer. He designed a great home for us. He is readily available, he responds to your questions even while he is on vacation or on weekends. Keeps you at ease and comfort your anxieties, reassure you, help you with his intelligence and wisdom in a very reassuring, detailed way. His designs are very contemporary, culturally diverse and he is very detailed in his designs.

Andrew was able to quickly get our drawings done so we could grab our contractor before he took another job. He documented what was there (in a partially finished lower level) and how things should go. Very helpful and the project turned out great!

Andrew's eye for design is exceptional, whether working on new, modern homes, or helping keep the integrity of old homes. We had Andrew design a new back porch and trellis for us, as well as design a redo of our front porch. Both designs were perfect , for our 1909 Craftsman. Andrew is thorough and thoughtful, and we would recommend him for any of your projects, large or small.

Andrew and his architecture team at Finch Design & Production are great collaborators. They excel in listening to their clients' needs and adjusting the programming to match those needs. They are creative in applying the design solutions to yield unique architectural and usable spaces. As I Landscape Architect, I like working with an architect that is receptive to alternative solutions. The result of working with Andrew was a stunning as a new home on Lake Sammamish very inviting spaces inside and out. I appreciate the creative spirit that Andrew and his team add to the architecture design process and highly recommend them.

Our home was designed by architect Andrew Finch. It is beautiful, classic yet contemporary, and it is functional. Our lot is so exceptionally narrow and challenging it was debatable if we could build at all. Andrew worked the plan and design carefully. Consequently, we do not experience compromises or constraints. Truly genius. We love our home, the layout, the spaces and the details. We highly recommend Andrew Finch.

Andrew did a wonderful job working with my husband and I- and we are both very opinionated. He listened to all our ideas and what we needed, and then transformed our two bedroom home into an impressive,4 bedroom modern home. Our home fits wonderfully on our site and works well for us. The proportions are impressive but not awkward. We get many compliments on our house and enjoy living in the open spaces created. He is fun to work with and very responsive. The quality of his design, working within our budget, and professionalism would have me highly recommend him to others.

We have been working with Finch Design and Production for more than fifteen years. Andrew and his team have provided architectural design, permitting, and construction supervision services on residential and multi-family/commercial projects for us. Finch has a keen eye for spacial relationships, proportionality, interior/exterior relationships, and the details that make his designs unique and wonderful. I am a Construction Superintendent for a General Contracting firm and I just recently finished an extensive re-model project designed by Finch Design and Production. Andrew is a very talented Architect, and as a builder, His design was cool to build and looked great. I found him very easy to talk to, we worked well as a team to the benefit of the client, and the project finished a success and is a beautiful design. When I add on to my personal residence, Finch Design and Production will be the architect that I choose.

What started out as a poorly built spec home that had a failed start at a remodel is now a very special, elegant home - thanks to Andrew. He carefully wove every detail with our desires employing his expertise and excellent taste into a very successful project. No task was too large or too small for Andrew to consider, his former life as a builder informed decisions with solid cost effective solutions. As our project grew he managed his team so that we could meet deadlines and move at a very reasonable pace. We highly recommend Finch Design & Production.

Andrew designed our remodel/rebuild on Mercer Island - Island House on his website. His insight and attention to detail are unmatched. He beautifully integrated the existing design and structure into a masterpiece view home.
