Images Of... has completed the design of numerous five-star rated houses (City of Austin Green Building Program), and we have designed eleven Net-Zero or Net-Zero capable homes. Images Of... has a proven track record of designing comfortable, family oriented custom homes throughout Austin and the Hill Country varying from 1,300 to 9,000 square feet with budgets of $150,000-$3,200,000. These energy efficient, affordable, well built homes have been designed in numerous styles, including: French Country, Mediterranean, Tuscan, and Texas Country. They are tailored to each unique site, the client's vision and their lifestyle.

Elliot is a great listener who takes a practical approach to his clients’ needs. Skilled in home design, he thoughtfully laid out the floor plan based on our program requirements. Moreover, his focus on efficient and cost-effective sustainable features was appreciated. Lastly, Elliot put together a comprehensive set of permit documents with enough detail for our builder to price in alignment with our financial objectives. We, recently, moved into a house the Elliot Johnson desigend back in 2007. The unique architecture and thoughful design have kept up and ahead of the times (it is now 2023). The house is a perfect balance of between optimizing for the lot and where it sits and the form and functionality that makes every day use a pleasure. So many tasteful elements blended in with creative touches to make the home stand out both inside and out. We had a list of things we wanted in a house and I never thought we would be able to get them all. On our first meeting, Elliot drew a rough sketch of a floor plan and it was fundamentally what we used for the final form. He is good at listening and able to turn a vague concept into something on paper. Elliot is lightning-fast in response time and I never felt like I was waiting on him - actually, I think he was waiting on us at a few points! He's not the most warm and fuzzy, and he sidesteps "This or that?" decisions, preferring that the homeowner make the choices. In the end that caused us to really evaluate our options and figure out what (hopefully) will work best for our needs.

After working with another architect for over 10 years our schedules conflicted and I was forced to find somebody new. This part of the process can really make or break the entire project so I was a little hesitant to use somebody new. When I found Elliot Johnson at images of..., we quickly connected and together some of my favorite plans to date. The design and floor plan were both very appealing and layed out well. He gave me City ready plans and just under 5 weeks. It was also nice to know that he has designed many homes in the city of Austin and very familiar with mcmansion rules. I expect it to be a clean run through the city. I will definitely plan on giving him the first shot on my next development.

Elliot helped us design our forever dream home. We had a lot of unique requirements and ideas for our home and Elliot paid close attention to what we had asked of him. He is very efficient and always delivered before the expected timeline. He gave us honest feedback but also let us design the house the way it worked best for our family. His electrical drawings were perfect too and we are excited to be able to build and live in this home that Elliot helped us design!
