Drawing the Line

What is Drawing the Line all about? Well, my name is Angela McMillon Eubanks and I founded DTL back in 2004 in order to pursue my career as an entrepreneur. My love for architecture, and the way design shapes the environment in which we live, started in childhood. I have always been fascinated by buildings and the way each space shapes a building's interior and exterior form. After graduating from Texas A&M University in 1994 with a Bachelors of Environmental Design, then working for some really talented architects from 1994 to 2004 and finishing my internship, I became eligible through NCARB to start taking exams to become registered as an architect. While studying for exams and raising a family, I was also able to enjoy designing residential projects. I became registered in the state of Texas (TBAE) in June of 2009. Since that time, I have had the opportunity to create designs for some really wonderful clients on residential and commercial projects. Having over 25 years of experience in architectural design, I have learned that one of the most important aspects of my job is listening to each client’s particular dreams, requirements, necessities, lifestyle, as wells as understanding how each space will be used. There are so many factors to consider when building and planning: site, location of trees, the sun, views, neighboring architecture, codes, and budget - just to name a few. My job is to help guide clients through this process, ask questions, and come up with suggestions that may have never been thought of or considered. This is why the information gathered on the front end, before ever putting a pencil to paper, is so important. I really enjoy working closely with each client to understand their goals and become inspired to make their dream become a reality.
