A Cincinnati native, Cynthia Williams is a registered architect in Ohio and Kentucky. She received her Master of Architecture degree from the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University in Cambridge, MA. At Harvard, she received the distinguished Alpha Rho Chi medal for professional merit, and the Sinclair Kennedy Traveling Fellowship, which offered her the opportunity of focused field study in the architecture of France, Switzerland, Italy, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Greece, Turkey, and Egypt. Prior to establishing her own firm in Cincinnati, OH, she worked for I.M. Pei & Partners in New York City, best known for their work on the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., and the addition to the Louvre Museum in Paris, France. At I.M. Pei & Partners, she was named an Associate for her outstanding work throughout her six years at the firm. She is a member of the American Institute of Architects, having served as Chair of AIA Cincinnati’s Custom Residential Architects’ Network. She is also a member of the Harvard Club of Cincinnati having served as President, and the Harvard Alumni Association having served as Regional Representative from the Ohio Valley. She holds a certificate from the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, and is a member of the Congress of Residential Architecture, and the Cincinnati Preservation Association.
