Sustainable design practice, Compass Architecture is guiding you through the process of creating your place. We create new spaces for the enjoyment and experience of our clients. We have been living in our home for over twelve years now and it never ceases to give us joy. Our block was difficult because of geography and building restrictions, which Nathalie overcame to design a fantastic house. Each room is filled with light and views of either the bush, escarpment or ocean. Nathalie’s design has grown with us; that is to say, we have not outgrown her design. There are so many little things that Nathalie was aware would make a difference of which we would never have thought. When designing our home, she always had in her mind how it would function, as well as appear, resulting in it being practical as well as beautiful.

I engaged Nathalie to draw up some plans for some renovations to my home. The end result is a more functional and light living space. Nathalie helped us turned a 1915 farmhouse 'extension' (which helped with the DA process as it was not a new build) into a completely new home, within an fairly average budget. Her design is fabulous - we have been living in the house for 2 years very comfortably, and the layout works very well. Energy bills are low - there is no need for airconditioning, and the PVC double glazed windows and the right solar orientation mean even the electric underfloor heating is hardly ever used. We are very happy and one day when the budget allows and the kids grow up will be asking her to design that further extension she had earmarked when the time comes.

Nathalie has amazing insight. Her attention to detail even impressed our builder! Nathalie took our three bedroom cottage and designed an open bright home that blended with the natural landscapes of the block. She thought of everything!!
