Trish Bailey and the team at Bailey Harris changed our lives in such a positive way; one would be lucky to spend their days in a space that Trish has created. My wife and I had a 140-year-old farmhouse that needed total renovation and modest addition but could not nail down a direction to take the house. We needed an architect to translate my highly specific vision to drawings my wife could use to visualize the house; AKA, we needed a collaborative architect who would be part marriage counselor as well as deliver the undeliverable on a modest budget. Bailey Harris was on our radar after noting their signs on projects we loved in the Elmwood Village but assumed a firm completing such high-end work would be out of our price range or difficult to work with. We could not have been more wrong. Trish is the most talented, collaborative and down to earth person I have ever met. After our initial meeting, Trish had my wife and I fill out separate questionnaires so she could better understand our individual style, priorities and budget. When Trish showed us her initial planning drawings, we knew we had made the right choice; she presented our house in a new light that hit all the right notes within our means – we kept the dog wash station, but the second floor sleeping porch was nixed! Through plan development and bidding Trish kept us on track and her contacts and design partners were great in working out the fine details. She advocated for saving historically significant components to maintain the feeling of the old farm house. The detail that she put into our kitchen (down to the size of the bowls we needed to store) resulted in a space that is a joy for us to simultaneously work in while entertaining a full house. Trish is a true artist when it comes to making a house feel like a home. Throughout construction the plan proved itself time and again to be accurate and efficiently buildable. We did not have any major modifications in the plan thus we had no costly change orders. We needed an enlarged music-room/office/library, and wanted the addition to look like it had always been there. Trish Bailey not only managed that, but gave us an acoustically wonderful listening space that would do nicely as a home theater as well. She did a lot of digging for us, including triple-paned windows, brick facade to match that on our 1950s ranch, indirect lighting, carpeting, and much more. When the time came to choose a contractor, she gave us the names of several she had worked with successfully in the past. In short, she not only designed our new space, but gave us assistance with all the fiddly details to help get the job done efficiently and with good humor. Trish is a wonderful architect!

We worked with Architect Trish Bailey on a very complicated kitchen remodel involving bathroom removal, taking down of 2 walls, and combining existing kitchen with dining room to make one large kitchen. Her work was absolutely excellent. She has a vision for how a project can look, and is skilled at helping guide her clients towards the best lifestyle fit for their families. She is well respected in the industry and among contractors, kitchen designers, and other trades involved in the remodel process. She advocates for what is best for her clients and their family, and asks excellent questions to uncover her client's goals and dreams for the new space, and then helps keep those goals alive throughout the course of the project, as it is easy for those initial goals to sometimes get lost. Everyone who sees our new space asks who designed it, and we give them the highest recommendation of Trish Bailey.

We had a wonderful experience with Patricia Bailey as our architect in 2016. She designed a four season sunroom for us and it is spectacular! She did quite a lot of research including interviewing people from the Botanical Gardens. She kept us updated on the plans and always listened to our thoughts and ideas. She had an excellent relationship with our contractor, Mike Walkowiak, and construction was done in a timely manner. We would definitely recommend her to others!
