Third Wave Design

I was born and raised in Sydney and completed my degree in Architecture at the University of Technology Sydney, graduating in 1993 with honours. During my 6-year degree course I worked for the renowned Architect, Harry Seidler. Here I learned the importance of integrating both the art and science of architecture and how it manifests into practical and inspirational design. Following graduation, I trained in martial arts gaining a black belt and running a martial arts club in Manchester, England for 2 years before returning to Sydney in 1997 to continue my career in Architecture. Over the next 14 years I worked for various firms gaining experience in high-end residential and retail design before establishing Third Wave Design in 2009. With more than 25 years of design under my belt, I believe that the best outcomes successfully integrate both the client's aspirations and a clear design vision to create buildings that satisfy practical needs and the personal experience of living, working and playing in a bespoke environment. My experience has also taught me the importance of delivering the highest possible quality in design, detail and craftsmanship, which is noticeably appreciated by those who use these buildings and ultimately adds value and longevity to the finished product. By managing all aspects of the design and documentation stages, I provide a more personal service to my clients, which optimises communication between the client, the building team and myself. I can also draw upon the skills of other design associates as well a team of consultants and building professionals to delivery a variety of project types and scales. I am also happy to tell you everything I think I know about wine and food and am looking forward to being selected as captain of the Australian dessert-eating team when it eventuates!
