The design process was easy, and loved the potential to design shelves for an odd space. But the shelves were never delivered. I received half the order, and seven months later, still have yet to receive the remaining pieces. Customer service is not responsive--has not provided updates on timing, responds to one out of every 5 messages or voice mails. All in all, a really frustrating experience and I don't recommend.

A disaster from start to finish. I had to rebuild sections of my new shelving unit several times because of missing parts, wrong sized parts and an apparent lack of communication between their designers. Shipping department and customer service. What should have taken 8/10 hours to assemble and install took over 40 hours over a period of several weeks. This whole process was a disaster from start to finish. And, I am partly to blame. This was the second time I purchased product from Modern Shelving - it was dejavu all over again! Missing parts, significant differences in paint shades, damaged corners, poor sizing and razor like edging! Never again!

I have a 700sf condo, so maximizing space is a must. After an exhaustive search, I purchased a 50” media center and 65” desk system from Modern Shelving. A few of the pieces arrived with blemishes in the finish, but they sent replacements right away. I hired an installer, who had a hard time of it, even though he was a carpenter, and that was a bit expensive. Even so, I’m very happy with the result, and just ordered additional components to further maximize the space and functionality. A great advantage of the system is that you can add-on and reconfigure as your needs change. Great customer service, too. Thanks Kristy!

Love these things. I have a set installed in both my living room and kitchen. I chose to go with black and created my own shelves. A very interesting and sleek design that fits in with any style. Timeless. Highly recommended.

When we moved into our "forever home," part of what we loved was it's open spaces, especially the loft! Designing for the space was tough though. Previous owners used as desk/office space, and that didn't feel right to us. I had seen Modern Shelving in Architecture offices, where they used it for their libraries. Knowing the flexibility a system like MS offered, we really wanted to use it, but didn't know where to begin. We started looking at their online sales, but then sent our measurements over to them. They worked with us to find a semi-custom solution, that was a value engineer from full custom price point. WE LOVE IT! Having something "more than furniture," that honored the open spaces in our home, with floating shelving, and color options for both the hardware and shelving, Modern Shelving was THE solution. We are so happy to have our music and media space complete. The whole family loves it from people to pets. Thanks again MS team for the renderings, and product solutions.

We had a small home project for displaying books and collectibles. We wanted a system that allowed the cedar planking behind the unit to show. Most importantly we needed a system that did not hang from the wall, rather one that would distribute the weight on the floor. This system is perfect for our needs. The design staff was very friendly and helpful in explaining the options and specifying the unit. The product shipped right on time and arrived in great shape. We had 1 shelf that was slightly damaged. A new shelf was ordered and sent immediately. We love our Modern Shelving unit.

I am a professional composer with a lot of synthesizers. And finding a way to use/store/display them in an aesthetically pleasing way was nearly impossible. Until I came across Modern Shelving. They custom made me brackets at an angle to make my keyboards not only usable but secure with the additional lip they put on the front of the shelf itself. I couldn't be happier with the results!

I wanted specialized wall shelving for a collection of CDs a few years back as well as book shelves for my beach condo. I purchased three walls of shelves from ISS made to the exact dimensions I required in Stainless steel and wood. The nature of these wall systems allowed them to blend in to each decor without regard to wall color and flooring. Well, we just moved after six or seven years and the book shalves were moved as complete pieces of furniture and we only had to fill and paint several small 3/16th sized holes and it was if they never were there! Great stuff.

I researched for several months before deciding to go with ISS Designs for two wall units in my apartment. I could not be happier. I was very particular with what I wanted, and their design team worked with me to ensure that everything I wanted was included. The cabinets and drawers have custom depths so that cords for a printer and table lamp would be hidden behind the drawer and plugged into an outlet that the wall unit covered. All the parts came in two shipments and were neatly packaged. They were very patient with me while I meticulously went over all the parts that were shipped. I chose not to install them myself and instead used a contractor that they recommended. The installation cost was worth every penny. What should have been a relatively straight forward installation took a considerably long time, not because of the design, but because of problems with my walls. Despite the difficulties, the installation was outstanding, and the installers made sure the shelving were at heights to my liking. The two units are stunning and exactly what I wanted to meet my storage needs. I highly recommend ISS Designs.
