Robert T. Pierson grew up as the son of a home improvement owner. He looked at the job site as his classroom and his father his mentor. Robert’s father instilled in his son the value of quality work and ethical work practices. He would say to young Bob, "Good, better, best- Never let it rest until your good gets better and your better gets best." More than just a motto, these words have become standard operating procedure at Robert T. Pierson Construction. Since 1995 Robert Pierson has been remodeling existing houses and building quality homes for more than 1000 satisfied customers. Really disappointed. He is a contractor in abstentia spending his winter in FL. We paid for all rework, mistakes. He didn't take any responsibility for misteps and there was no one present during day-to-day operations to manage workforce. I had to hire others to fix multiple issues left behind. Please save yourself the headache

There are two sides to every story, she happened to leave out there was a 50 mile an hour Wind/ Rain storm that pulled a tarp loose from the roof in the middle of the night which allowed rain into the house. I was in Florida when the storm came through, I cut my trip short and came back up to SC. to handle the problem. She wouldn’t let me fix the issues wanting to run everything through her insurance company in Lue of having us fix it.
28 years in business ,first time and hopefully the last dealing with anything like this. It was very unfortunate either one of us had to deal with this, cannot control Mother Nature!

Bob came to us referred from another remodel on Lake Keowee. We really liked the craftsmanship and design aesthetic of his work. Our job was much bigger (an entire house renovation and re-working poorly done work from a previous contractor), so Bob and his crew had it cut out for them. We couldn't be happier with our results.! He did everything we asked and then some, but what I loved was his keen eye for unique/modern/TV-show worthy design elements. He didn't just execute on our vision; he always had suggestions to make it even better. The man knows what looks good, and that's rare with builders. (Usually they just want a plan and to execute, but Bob also has a knack for knowing what will really make a project 'pop'.) Last but not least, all of his subcontractors are his. They only work for him, and they show up on time, every time. This goes a long way when you're doing what we did, especially living several hours away. It brought us a lot of peace of mind, and we couldn't be happier with the end result. Communication was great and we were provided with status update vidoes weekly, which was awesome. Bob is great to work with. He guided us through the project helping us save money in areas where he could have made more. We used his painting, carpentry, and electrical services. All of the employees were top-notch professionals, courteous, suggesting better ways to do the job, and easy to have in our home. For the service and product we received his prices are reasonable. Bob recently completed renovation of our kitchen and master bathroom and completed a few additional ancillary projects including replacing an exterior stone stairway and relocating a major cold air return. Bob is very creative and accommodating, willingly addressing minor problems along the way. Because he employs all his own craftsmen, there was no downtime waiting on subcontractors. Working with Robert T. Pierson Construction was definitely one of the best buildling/reno experiences we've had. We have renovated or built close to a dozen houses, and this was easy, fast, professional, and actually pleasant. Bob’s crew was highly skilled (amazing willow branch rails!), hard-working and timely, always friendly, left everything cleaned up, and truly a pleasure to work with. Bob checked-in on the project regularly and sent us video updates on the progress. He stayed on his timeline and came in under budget. Would highly recommend for any renovation or build.

Bob Pierson has done several projects for us. The most recent was replacing two old, collapsed retaining walls built on a slope in back of the house. The timbers of the old retaining walls were 30 years old and showed it. Bob's two-man team installed 6"x^' pressure-treated timbers set at angles for strength with strategically placed extension timers running back (behind the walls into the earth. With Bob's guidance, each timber was stepped back 1.5-inches so the retaining wall moves back against the slope, enhancing stability.

Not only he has done a wonderful job understanding our vision and needs but also he has communicated during the entire project very closely with us. The project has been completed on time and right at the cost expected. His price is very reasonable and he uses top materials. You can count on Bob and his crew to provide a great project on time and on budget. We hired them for an extensive remodel of our basement. They converted it from an unfinished space into a wonderful for bedroom with a kid's living room. He's fairly priced, has great ideas and will steer you in the right direction.

Bob was very professional in managing the work and working with me and my wife on making our vision for remodeling the lower level of our home a reality. He communicated very well when it came to work schedule and requirements, and was very flexible when it came to changes in the original plans. He was always pleasant to deal with -- very patient and knowledgeable. His workers were skilled and professional in their work, and were very trustworthy throughout the three month project. Both Bob and his workers made it their first priority to have the customer (us!) completely satisfied. The work was completed in a reasonable timeframe and we are both so excited with how well everything worked out.
