We worked with Ken at Pemberley Properties for a large addition + renovation project and couldn’t be happier with the results. We had Pemberley Properties do a basement renovation to our house and couldn't have been more pleased with the outcome. Ken was very thorough and great at communicating throughout the entire process. Him and his team created such a beautiful and functional space for our family to utilize for years to come. Our project was a 1960s ranch that needed a lot of love. New electrical, plumbing, roof, basically the entire main floor was taken down to the studs and rebuilt. This was a bank funded project through our mortgage to add an extra layer of complexity. I am an licensed architect and do a lot of work with commercial contractors so I’ve seen my fair share of the great and not so great ones. Ken with Pemberly Properties is a notch above the great ones. He was a fantastic communicator and treated our project like it was his own, brining his wealth of experience to make our house design that much better. My wife and I were very hands on and visited the job site weekly. Each interaction with his subcontractors was easy going and they all did great work. We had to deal with a lot of delays due to permitting and remodeling our house during a pandemic and supply chain issues. Ken made sure we knew the critical path to keep our project moving forward and when a hiccup happened (broken faucet that was new in the box, 10 days of continuous rain when our roofer was ready to start, our dishwasher showing up 8 months after purchase), he would quickly get on the phone and talk through a workable solution. We can't thank him enough for the quality work he did and the overall experience. When the time comes to finish our basement or if we ever have another house to renovate, Ken will for sure be our contractor.

I really can't say enough good things about our experience working with Ken at Pemberley Properties. After a very frustrating experience with a previous builder, my husband and I were ready to walk away from our lot and call it a loss before we even started. Thankfully, we found Ken before we decided to throw in the towel. From our first meeting, Ken has been knowledgeable, straight-forward, and very easy to work with. Even throughout the frustrations of COVID-related delays, Ken managed to keep our project moving as quickly as possible. We are all settled into our home and every day it seems we find a new "favorite thing" about our home. The quality of the workmanship speaks for itself, but the entire experience getting to this point is the reason I'd recommend working with Ken over any other builder.

I used Ken Pemberley to remodel my kitchen. Ken made what was a challenging process with the pandemic and delays as easy as possible. Ken and Raymond did a great job on our home addition and renovation. From planning to final clean-up, they provided great communication and made it a very easy process for us. Horrible experience!!! Hired Ken Mooney at Pemberley Properties to build our home. There were so many errors. We took him to arbitration for our hardwood floor nightmare and WON. We were able to get our hardwood floors corrected by a professional company at Ken's expense. Errors included hardwood floors, framing, electrical, numerous leaks, stone archway not straight, damaged windows, and so many more. We found most of the errors because Ken and Raymond never inspected what their sub contractors did. When we brought these mistakes to their attention, Ken and Raymond were defensive and even blamed us at times. They wanted us to just accept some of the errors. We had to insist that he fix them. No accountability or apology. We had to consistently keep after Ken and Raymond to complete the job. Slow at returning phone calls, texts, emails and sometimes not at all. Do not recommend this builder!

Ken Mooney with Pemberly Properties is such a great builder-he stands behind his work 100%. Him and his crew do amazing work. We have been in our house for over 10 years now with no issues. Everything he does is done with impeccable detail and nothing was left finished unless it was perfect! I can’t recommend him enough. If we ever need any work again, he would absolutely be the person we would hire.

We just finished a significant renovation with Pemberley Properties here in Decatur Georgia. This was our first renovation on our first home and included a new kitchen, master bath, and major renovation to the back roofline and upstairs part of the house. The project lasted from March through September 2019. Ken Mooney and his team worked with us to explain our options and keep us on time and on budget. They were professional, knowledgeable, worked well with the subcontractors to get the project completed. For example, Raymond, the general manager and engineer, worked with our architect to simplify the upstairs bathroom to reduce the costs associated with reinforcing the upstairs. Ken was very accessible during the project and kept in constant communication to make sure the project turned out the way we wanted. He was very responsive whenever we had a question or wanted to talk things through. We love the house now that we’re back in and are very pleased with the process and outcome. We (my wife and I) hired Ken, Raymond, and their team to do a major addition on our house and are very pleased with the results. We added a master bed and bath, laundry room, and big new den... and it all came out great! Were there a couple of minor bumps along the road, sure there always are with such big projects, but Ken works very very hard to make things right, and is very attentive, responsive, and fair, as well as reasonably priced. I hired Pemberley Properties to complete a garage conversion to a guest house. As with all projects of this size, there are unanticipated problems(permitting, changes delays etc) but Ken was always communicative and found solutions. In some instances, he went beyond the call of duty. The project was reasonably priced and Ken had an eye for quality and always corrected any problems. I have received numerous compliments. Ken is creative, fair, and amazing at making your dreams come true within your budget. He actually drew a plan for me for a previous home that blew my mind. We had Ken and his team put a substantial addition on our house. It was a massive undertaking but it went as best as I could imagine. I was amazed how they seamlessly put a "house on our house". The floor levels match perfectly. The planning was great. The unexpected things were not there like most jobs seem to always have. We added changes that Ken accommodated with minimal hassle. Pemberley Properties created a bonus room for us over what was a 2 story great room. Ken and team were great to work with. We had a few hiccups due to unknown structural things in the house and they came with solutions every time. Raymond (the contractor) was on the job, on time, every day he was supposed to be there. He was also helpful in walking me through some design decisions. We were very happy with the whole process and will continue to recommend Pemberley.

I can't speak highly enough about the job Pemberley Properties did through out the construction of our home. My wife and I had never built a house, so we were very concerned about finding the right contractor for such a large scale project. We interviewed several contractors and talked with prior customers of all of them. Finally we decided on Ken because he was willing to focus on keeping the project in our budget (which was very important to us), and we felt like he was trying to insure we got the house we wanted and took care of all the details. And there were plenty of details involved because our house is handicap friendly. And we loved our house after it was done. Even after we moved in, he reached out several times our first year in to make sure that any issued that popped up were fixed. My wife and I would recommend him to anyone.
