Peachtree Residential Properties

I built a house with Peachtree Residential about 2 years ago and I would not purchase a house from them again. I have had problems from early in the process and I am still dealing with many issues now. During the design process, their designer made the entire process miserable. She made several mistakes in documenting the design choices that we discussed, and it was necessary for me to thoroughly review and pay very close attention to everything to catch errors that she made. It was also very difficult to get the information that I needed because she was not responsive. Regarding construction, several of the contractors that Peachtree uses do subpar work. As an example, my garage was originally off-center about a foot. I caught this problem from a photo that my real estate agent sent to me. The workers on-site did not notice. There were a lot of issues with tile installation and one of my bathrooms still has wall tiles that are problematic. I have had a water temperature issue that I reported to Peachtree soon after I moved into the house. Their plumbers have been to my house many times for the temperature issue and have not been able to resolve it in two years. In fact, they made the problem worse. I have been taking lukewarm showers for two years. At this point, it could be an incorrect plumbing installation issue and could cost thousands to repair. Another problem is that the concrete in front of my garage continues to crack into many pieces. This was “fixed” last year, but the problem was never resolved and the concrete is still breaking into pieces. In addition, the paint around the windows in front of my house needed to be repainted after a year because the wood was already bare in places. This was also “fixed” last year, but now the windows need repainting again and the wood is warped in some places. Currently, Peachtree is ignoring my calls and emails to have these issues resolved. If you want to save yourself a lot of stress and disappointment, choose a different builder.

We had our home built by this company. Their project manager was wonderful. He listened to what we wanted in our dream home and never had a problem with making changes as the project went along. He also managed to get the 3600 square foot home and full landscaping completed in our needed timeframe of five months. I would definately work with him again.
