Nest Design & Build

When we embarked on a complete renovation of our 5 bedroom home, we were very nervous of the horror stories of dealing with builders and tradespeople. Chris and the team from Nest provided excellent service from start to finish. On a large project like this, its normal to expect a few hiccups, but on every occassion Nest were always happy to put things right. Nest provided a detailed costing and schedule of work, and managed to keep to this. The quality of workmanship and level of finish is excellent. Nest's staff were always very professional and only to happy to help. We recommend Chris and his team unreservedly.

Nest have recently completed a full house renovation for us including relocating the kitchen and stairs to a different part of the house, removing structural walls/installing new kitchen/bathrooms/under stairs cupboards/external doors/sound system/loft insulation/woodburner/flooring/full decoration etc. Chris listened to the problems we had with our existing layout and came up with a very different design that solved all of our issues. We took the plunge and are delighted with the end result. It was refreshing to have a team who did exactly what they said they were going to do when they said they would do it. The project started on a date of my choosing, ended on the planned date and communication was exemplary throughout. Chris and Scottie were hugely patient throughout the detail of the design process coming up with ideas and working with me until I was happy with the end result. Marc managed the project tightly and while there were a few challenges along the way (which is inevitable with a project of this size), he always ensured he talked me through the issue, gave me possible solutions and that I was happy with any changes. He has dealt with the final snagging issues at break neck speed with no quibbles. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Nest again, every single tradesperson we had on site (and there were a lot!) were friendly, skilled, hard working, trustworthy, kind and helpful. Nest deserve every success for the future.

From start to finish Nest were impeccable. Having never worked on a building project before we were unsure how the process worked or how it would go. From our first meeting we were reassured that we were in really capable hands. The process was seamless and the design exceeded our expectations, the team were all really passionate, the job stuck to deadlines and the team delivered us an incredible extension that we adore. Both my husband and myself would use them again in a heartbeat and would recommend them to anyone, in fact, don't waste your time looking for anyone else.

We had our kitchen and hallway redone by the team at Nest recently and we had an excellent experience, from start to finish. My tiny bathroom has been transformed, thanks to Chris's brilliant design and the excellent work of Wayne and the team. Anthony's attention to detail and exacting standards ensured that the work was top quality throughout. I love the feeling of light and space that has been created.

It was great to find a kitchen company that had everything under one roof and we didn't have to source sub-contractors to complete any of the electrical / building work. The virtual reality software was incredible and helped my wife and I to visualise the new kitchen in the space we had, which made a huge difference in helping us decide on a final design and one we were confident from the outset would look great.

Nest Design and Build (Formerly Colston South West) fitted our new kitchen, associated electrics, flooring, and skirting. This included removal of a structural wall and installation of and RSJ. Nest project managed the project in a proffessional manner and at all times were polite, efficient and courteous. They responded to problems quickly as they arose presenting me with the viable options to select from. In particular they advised me to change my flooring choice, this advice was over and above their obligation and was gratefully recieved. It has been proved correct and i am grateful. Firstly, I never write reviews unless they are bad enough or of great excellence...in this case it is the later! Professional, whilst remaining friendly is the theme here, what an experience! This is our first build and we were nervous about engaging a new team for just under £1m worth of property so you can imagine my anticipation and trepidation! Chris (and the team) put me at eas immediately and remained calm throughout, which is important for me. Stress? What stress? Maybe I was lucky, or just lucky in finding the right team! Either way I'm thankful and grateful, so is my wife (I mean the boss!) It has been a genuine pleasure working with the nest team and I can highly recommend them. You will see the amount of effort and care and especially attention to detail as we are perfectionists! guys, if you are reading this, thank you all very much again for making our dream house become a reality. I highly recommend them and will be doing my second and last project with them. So on that note, I will stoke the fire and see if "Strictly CD" is on the box! :)

Nest installed a completely new bathroom and dormer window in our attic, and retiled and repaired the roof for us in autumn 2015. They provided an accurate, competitive quote up front and managed every aspect of the project including building, plumbing, electrics, plastering, tiling. We gave them a specific time frame for starting and completing the job, and they met that. They were also great at letting us know exactly what was going to happen and when, and sticking to that. There were aspects of the design and finish of the project that could not be 100% defined until it was underway and we wanted to retain a degree of flexibility until we could see more clearly how the space was going to work. Mark and Wayne were brilliant at communicating the options, ensuring we understood the cost implications, and then delivering something that exceeded our expectations. All of the team worked incredibly hard and were good to have around. The sub-contractors they brought in to complete parts of the work were always extremely professional and reliable. I'd have no hesitation in recommending Nest Design & Build.
