Michael Olson

As a painter and paper hanger I have done numerous projects with Courtenay from Martire Custom Homes. Time and time again I am impressed with her attention to detail, and her skill at choosing the right furnishings to either match the existing style of the home, or to create an entirely new one. My first project with Courtenay was back in August of 2015, and my most recent was at the beginning of the year. She has always been up to date on industry trends and continues to search for creative solutions to the clients desires.

I worked with Courtenay Martire on a project for a luxury condominium association. Her design for the space was exceptional. It was a difficult project requiring significant effort to build consensus and receive approval from a board and community with wildly differing opinions, not only in design but also in the use of the space. Courtenay expertly navigated through the roadblocks, and I was extremely pleased with the results. I would strongly recommend Courtenay for any design project. It was a pleasure to work with her.

We have used Martire Custom Homes for multiple projects and have always been blown away with the final result. Courtenay's design ideas are top notch. She comes up with ideas that we had never even thought of, making the final product unique and beautiful. They do a fantastic job of making your space work for your family. Taking the time to discuss all of your needs for the space and day to day activities. They were always in communication with us throughout the projects and helped us pick out the best materials for our needs. When we decided to add another area to the plan, they were very flexible and were happy to take care of it for us mid-project. I can't say enough about them and we will be using them for another project in the near future. We are very much looking forward to working with them again.

I have been working with Courtenay for a year and a half now. She has helped me with several projects! We started with simple things like paint color, furniture placement, wallpaper and lighting selections but moved on to a complete basement remodel. Her amazing eye, extensive knowledge of the industry and forward-thinking had everything turn out beautifully!! She is easy to work with and now I wouldn't do anything in my house without her input!

Melissa Klimek

We did a complete renovation of our first floor. Our house had last been renovated in the 80s and had an "80s country kitchen vibe" throughout the house. I had a vision of wanting to brighten up the house and I had a few magazine clippings. Courtenay helped me think through all of the details and brought our dream house to life on time and right on budget. She even had a "big reveal" for us when we were out of town. We wanted to leverage some of the existing bones of our house, but completely change the way it looked. She helped re-finish our hardwood floors, pick out beautiful custom cabinetry and even challenged me on things I wanted to keep. Courtenay had some really creative ideas to deal with some of our design challenges. It was a very organic creative process. We continued to collaborate to customize the reno. The end results wasn't cookie cutter and was exactly what we were looking for! Photos of our reno. are listed under "classic contemporary" in the Martire Custom Projects section.
