My wife and I decided on a tree change to the country from the hustle and bustle of Melbourne. Once we purchased our dream block we wanted to do justice to the magnificent views of the surrounding mountains. From our first meeting with Stephen Hedger, we knew straight away we had found the correct builder due to his down to earth personality, experience, knowledge and his willingness to listen to what was important to us. The build took approximately nine months and throughout this process we couldn’t fault the workmanship and suggestions during the build that enhanced the finished product. From a customer’s perspective, we couldn’t ask for any more from the team at Hedger Constructions. We didn’t have to chase for any progress updates on the build as the communications were constant from both Stephen Hedger and the team. Our friends struggled to believe the experience we had and how smoothly our build was going in comparison to theirs. I couldn’t finish without a huge thank you to the site manager and the onsite team. These guys worked above and beyond through a terrible winter of rain, sleet and snow. In conclusion, I would recommend Hedger Constructions to anyone wanting to build their dream home as they made our dream a wonderful reality.

Friendly and courteous right from the beginning. Building two new bathrooms and a new kitchen in a 25 year old mud brick owner built house is not for the faint hearted. But the guys are understanding exactly what we need and are also making some very appropriate suggestions. We engaged Hedgers on recommendation and we are very impressed and happy that we did.

We have been in the unfortunate situation of having an architect who failed to produce adequate plans! We are now nearly finished thanks to our builder and his team who have been incredible. We were aiming for a 10 star energy rating so part of the home is underground. We also have a green roof. Very exciting, but lots of engineering input is needed to get things right. Small things, like having enough steel to support such a heavy roof! Our builder has made this project happen despite the lack of plans. Without him and his team we wouldn't even be out of the ground yet. Now we are nearly finished and will have an incredible home as a result. Our builder has been incredibly diligent and very open throughout the project. He has kept us up to date on all things and been very honest about the budget. He has had to redesign so many things and has somehow never lost his cool or motivation. It's been a very challenging job on so many levels and they have been the calm within the storm. Not only will it be beautiful, but we trust the construction is now safe and we look forward enjoying the space fully. I couldn't recommend anyone more confidently.
