Our dream was to build a new home that we could enjoy as a family. We purchased a carriage house that was built in the 1800’s, and ended up rehabbing it from start to finish, and adding two wings as well. It was a complicated project, combining the old and the new, and we chose FC Batton as our builder. Despite the complexity of the build, the project went very smoothly, and we love our new home! Rick and his crews were nice to work with, easygoing and very professional as well. The finish carpenters, Joe and Mike, were always helpful, and take pride in their work. Rick was always available to answer questions, and to offer his years of expertise. We felt that we had a very steady partner in Rick all through the building process, and we would highly recommend FC Batton and Son to anyone who is considering building a new home. We were able to work together constructively to make our dream home come true!

Working with Rick from FC Batton has made building our dream home a smooth experience. Beginning a home building project during covid was a challenge but having such a knowledgeable contractor saved us both time and money. Rick and FC Batton went above and beyond our expectations for our build. It has been a night and day difference from a previous home building experience with a national home builder. During the design phase Rick met with our architect so that our waterfront home was designed and constructed to maximize flood safety and wind resistance. He listened to our input and made suggestions to improve safety while maintaining the look we wanted. FC Batton has a great network of subcontractors they work with and vendors they recommend. You can tell when meeting with suppliers and vendors how well respected FC Batton is in the business. Materials were ordered in a timely fashion to limit cost increases and wait times. We had very few delays during building, and most were due to weather and wind. Our home is extremely well built. No squeaky floors, no drafts from windows. It is incredibly energy efficient despite having lots of large windows and tall ceilings. We are constantly receiving compliments on the fit and finish of our home. We highly recommend FC Batton for building a custom home or remodeling your current home!

I have been working with the Batton group for over two years. They’ve done a phenomenal job in refurbishing my house after a major fire. Someone was here every day doing work even when temperatures were extremely cold in the house. The workmanship is outstanding and they have been very responsive to any of our changes . Our previous house completely burnt down. My architect did an intense research to find a builder that could rebuild our house from ground up. FC Batton and Son was referred to us by a friend so we decided to make some reference calls. I was very surprised that every single reference we called, every single person had nothing but great things to say about Rick and his crew. The rebuild took about a year but now we have our dream home. Rick and his crew did an amazing job. Our house is absolutely gorgeous and Rick was an amazing builder and now a friend. He is very professional and talented. His crew is amazing too, especially Jeff! I highly recommend FC Batton and Son for any rebuild or renovation. It's very hard to find a talented and honest contractors these days. I was very lucky!

FC Batton and Son built a 1400 sq. ft. cottage (that is what we call it) in the backyard of our existing house. The cottage has two bedrooms, two full baths and a den/office. Rick and his son, Kyle, were wonderful to work with, including all the subs. We were told it would take 7-9 months and it was delivered in 8 months. It was important to me to have a decent size kitchen to gather with the family and we were able to have a very bright, nice size, welcoming space for all of us to enjoy. We have only recently started having friends over, due to the pandemic, and all are in awe of the cottage and how it looks much bigger than 1400 sq. ft. It really is a beautiful home and all of the finishing touches, including those outside, make this a home we just love. It was important for both families to have their privacy which is why we wanted a free standing home and not an in-law suite. I would recommend this to anyone that has the space and would 100% recommend the Battons for the job or any home/renovation. They were a pleasure to work with throughout the process.

We added an addition on to our current home The whole process went very smoothly We wanted it finished by a certain time and Batton and son and their crews were able to complete it on time. From permitting , to the construction, to the finishing it was a smooth process. We loved that when they said someone would be showing up , they did and would be at the time they said( a complaint several of my neighbors have made about their contractors they used on their own renovations) We would use them again and have already referred them to others

FC Batton and Son completed a large two story addition on our 100 year old house in 2019. It included multiple bedrooms, bathrooms and a new kitchen. It was a very complex project, but they completed it within the expected time frame and did an amazing job. They were flexible throughout the project as we changed our minds and were very thorough from beginning to end. All of the subcontractors were really good too. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking to remodel or add an addition to their house.

We used FC Batton and Son to built our home this past year. Rick is easy to work with and easy to communicate with through all forms of communication (call, text, email). He was respectful of our budget and helped us with decision making through the whole building process. This was a complicated kitchen expansion involving a tight schedule with other vendors. Rick worked easily with all involved and delivered an outstanding kitchen and dining room on schedule and on budget. All of his employees were a treat to work with and made small suggestions along the way that significantly enhanced the end result. Rick will be the only contractor that we call for any future project.

F.C Batton & Son was my contractor of choice and i am greatful that i wisely choose so. We added additions onto a 1964 one story contemporary. Rick had great ideas and was able to meet all of our needs. If we wanted to make some changes he would give his best opinion has to how we should proceed and which method is most cost effective presently and in later down the road. Extremely happy customer. We added a two and one half car garage and connected it to our house with a 350 sq. ft. covered logia and a 220 sq. ft. covered front porch. Stucco exterior with architecturally matching garage doors, French door, windows and lighting. Exposed cedar trim and ceiling with columns and blue stone to finish. It is beautiful and functional and adds great value to our home. Despite starting late in the season and the bad winter weather the project was finished on budget. We are extremely happy!

Remodeled our house, built a 10 car garage & 5 tractor utility shed. I had an absolutely wonderful experience with this company. The owner is the most professional contractor I've ever dealt with. His workers are knowledgeable, helpful & complete the work. I would recommend him to anyone, knowing they would be completely satisfied!

We used Rick Batton and FC Batton and Son for a remodel of our business. It was a large job to start with and required many changes midstream. Rick and is crew handled the job and every issue with complete accuracy and never missed a detail. They are, hands down, THE BEST!! I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

We were so pleased with the high level of professionalism, workmanship, and integrity we were afforded during the home building process. From the largest decisions down to the less significant choices, we were supported the whole way. Building a house was a new experience for us and we don't feel it could have been any more positive than it was. We expected to build a house, but instead Rick Batton and his team built us a home that. we still love to this day. My husband and I feel so fortunate that we picked F. C. Batton and Son, INC because every day when we get home we still feel like we are at our " vacation home"!

F C Batton and Son Inc. completed a large addition for me while I was pregnant with twins. They even finished the project 2 months ahead of schedule so the work was done when the babies came home from the hospital. I can not say enough good things about this builder . They were very well organized, accommodating, and reasonably priced for such a large project.

F C Batton and Sons cleared the land and built my home from the ground up. I recommend them highly, and without reservation. My home is a complex contemporary structure, designed by a novice architect. The project required a great deal of collaboration and on-the-go problem solving. The collaboration was a success, and has resulted in a friendship that has lasted well over a decade. My home has appeared in Dwell Magazine, as well as The Baltimore Sun. We love living there. We can't imagine working with anyone other than Rick Batton. His integrity, knowledge, project management skill and customer care are off-the-board excellent. He enabled us to realize our vision for the major renovation/rebuild. His skilled staff were experts in their crafts; they were patient and diligent; and they were fun to work with. After the passing of my parents, I decided to do a renovation and addition to the home they lived in for 45+ years. Without hesitation I contacted F C Batton to do the renovation/addition. The Batton’s are longtime friends of the family. This was not the only reason for the decision to use F C Batton. After looking at their website and the project portfolio I knew I could not go wrong. Rick worked tirelessly with me on the design and budget. The suggestions that he gave me worked wonderfully and kept everything within the budget. The ideas he came up with were far better than I could have ever thought of doing. Just little special touches that made a huge difference. Kyle took a special interest in this project and it showed in his workmanship. Kyle and Rick were very patient with me and always answered any questions I had no matter how trivial they seemed. They made me feel that they were just a phone call away, which was very important. The crew showed up every day on time and worked all day seldom taking time for breaks or lunches. This project started in mid-August and was told it would be finished by the end of December. True to their word, I moved in December 18th. They were always patient and kind and all of the men were mannerly and caring.
