DKM built our house on the Bay. It was selected as the "home of the year" in 2008. We have been very satisfied with the quality of the construction and the materials used. In addition, we have called on DKM for assistance in occasional repairs. They have always been willing to take the time to provide help in locating a qualified person to do the work. More recently, we needed to have a metal top installed on a beam around the pool for the house. They arranged to have the work done, checked it out after it was finished, and told us when it was complete. Everyone we have dealt with has been very professional, consistently displayed integrity and were easy to work with.

Dixon Kazek Morrison Custom Homes did a fantastic job on our condo remodel. Jon and all his crew were fantastic. I only had to come down from Philadelphia twice during our remodel . Amazing job ! Will use them again to build our home on the bay!

DKM remodeled our condo in 2014. They were very professional and had great suggestions on how to update the look. Since it was a condo there were many restrictions that you do not have when remodeling a house. They listened to my suggestions and we were able to have a comfortable and functioning home for our lifestyle. Since the remodel I have contracted them to help me with other small projects.

This company is great! I have been a subcontractor on many of their job sites and they do an awesome job. They take care of the customer as well as the worker. It has been a pleasure to work with them.

The building process with Dixon Kazak Morrison Custom Homes was simple and extremely well done. We built our home from afar and Steve Dixon made sure everything went smoothly and done in a timely manner. This extended to all aspects of the building process from instructing which internet sites would aid in choosing items that i needed to choose in the building process; to providing vendors in the local area to pick the finishing touches. The project management skills were outstanding and the home was built within the timeframe we were told and within our budget. Dixon Kazek Morrison Custom Homes Builders built 2 homes for our family in the past 15 years. We chose DKM Home Builders for many reasons with one of them being the attention to detail they bring to their projects. This company just doesn’t give you the key to your new home – they are there to help you in any way years later. The team of DKM has been always ready to help us with any maintenance issues we have had. They have given us names and references for maintenance workers that we could use. We can honestly say that our experience with DKM Home Builders was a pleasure and 15 years later we consider them friends for life.

Dixon Kazek Morrison built our existing home in Miramar Beach several years ago and then a couple of years ago, we asked them to add a cabana with outdoor kitchen, dining and living areas, a 20' x 40' pool and a guest house. They did a fabulous job and we are so very pleased with everything regarding the quality of work they do. These guys do it right and are honest and reliable. We are so glad we went with them!

I would not recommend DKM to build your home. They didn't finish our house, and 6 months after we've moved in still haven't finished it nor done the punch list. Including tonight, we've now had 8 leaks in the house- 4 due to the AC and 2 due to plumbing. We also had the back porch area start cracking and swaying and it had to be fixed and re-stuccoed because of a gutter leak- so that's 7. The first one happened the weekend we moved in when after moving we wanted to take a shower in the master shower and water started pouring out of the AC unit. Oh, and the bathtub in the master leaked- so that's 8 leaks. Not to mention the thermometer for the radiant heat flooring in the master has broken twice and since I knew they wouldn't do anything about it I simply emailed and asked for the vendor so I could contact them directly. 9 days later, no response, so I follow up. Apparently they ordered another thermostat and had it for me so I asked them to come install it and that was 2 weeks ago- no response. This is just the tip of the iceberg with them. They were rude, one of them literally pointed his finger in my face and pursed his lips together tightly and screamed at me in their office- with our attorney on the phone. Yes, we had to hire an attorney because they REFUSED to give us our job invoices or our budget monthly. It took them 16 months to deliver us an unfinished house and I only received 5 budgets the entire time, and they went $100,000+ over budget but couldn't explain it because they never did a change order for anything- per their own contract and normal builder regulations. They never followed their own contract at all- it was a worthless piece of paper. We moved in with no closets, to a filthy house I was told was cleaned head to toe the day before-we couldn't even put anything up, we had to clean every surface and inside every cabinet (I specifically asked had all the cabinets been cleaned so we could just move right in and was told yes, the day before, then when I confronted them about it being dirty they blamed it on construction dust. Construction dust doesn't accumulate overnight INSIDE closed cabinets). We've had problems with the pool and still do. Our cabinets that we had custom built are a disaster and not up to my standards nor what I asked for and sent about half a dozen pictures showing EXATLY what I wanted. I had to do the landscaping myself, the landscape lighting myself, the fireplace surround myself (I still don't have a fireplace mantle, but thankfully my husband found a piece of wood that we like and we are waiting for it to be delivered, now we just need someone to hang it), did the closets myself with a company another builder recommend to me because "their closet guy was busy", and am finishing the house myself. I could go on and on. Bottom line, unless you want to be mistreated, sign a contract even the builder themselves don't follow, have them threaten to shut the job down unless you paid them right away (which we always paid within 24-48 hours, even when asking for a budget or invoices and not receiving them because we were threatened in this manner), have them work on your house maybe 3 or 4 days a week (I can't tell you how many times I drove by here at all hours and days of the week and no one was working), and then have them blame YOU for being behind, not come work Saturdays to make up for rain days or whatever, then don't choose DKM.

Quality! Top notch builder! My home is 11 years old and no nail pops or stress cracks. They solved any building issues that arose during construction professionally and courteously. They completed the project on time and on budget! A great experience!

Steve Dixon was very easy to work with. He was professional, kind, informative, trustworthy, and thorough. Steve would always call me back right away if I had a question or a concern. The house is amazing. They pay such attention to detail. Our beach house far exceeded our expectations. I would definitely recommend Dixon Kazek Morrison. They earned the five star rating.

The basics were covered, on-time (actually ahead of time) on budget, any increases were things we added on, a beautiful, better than we imagined finished product that won the Parade of Homes competition. Beyond basics, they made this venture a great experience. Steve Dixon, Jon Kazek and Chris Morrison are simply fine, competent men. They know what is needed to build a water-tight, energy efficient home down here in Florida. They were open minded. Whenever I would come up with an idea I was always met with an attitude of let's-see-if-we-can-do-this. Their subs were also great to work with, very customer oriented and skilled. Both my husband and I recommended them extremely highly!
